Nick Hutchison shares a decision-making question from Jesse Itzler's Living with a SEAL: when you face a choice, ask which option your future self will be proud of tomorrow. He uses everyday examples like choosing exercise over TV or work over scrolling to show how this reframes small decisions.

The following simple decision-making framework has been a total game changer for me, and I read about it in this book, Living with a SEAL, by author Jesse Itzler. This is a story about how David Goggins came to live with Jesse and his family for a month, and it's hilarious, but there's also a lot of good stuff to learn. So Jesse says, when you come to a fork in the road and you have a tough decision to make, ask yourself the following question: when I wake up in the morning and I look back on that decision, which pathway will I be more proud of? Which one will be more fulfilling to me when I think about it tomorrow? Do I eat the bad food that'll create inflammation and sloth, or do I eat the clean food? Do I go for the run and go to the gym, or do I stay home and watch Netflix? Do I work on my dream project, or do I scroll on social media? Ask yourself what version of you tomorrow will be more proud. And that question has saved me So much time making decisions, I always just think about what will Nick tomorrow think? Do I want to help that guy or do I want to hurt that guy? And if you're in need of a fun listen, check out this book, Living with a SEAL, Jesse Itzler. It is awesome.
