Labels are for wine bottles, not people. At least the negative ones. Inside of her book, Real Confidence, Simone Canago talks about labeling theory, which is basically that the labels you apply, positive or negative, become self-fulfilling prophecies. So if you call yourself weak, poor, ugly, fat, unproductive, lazy, your mind will help you fulfill those labels and they'll become your truth. Instead, you want positive labels, things like Like altruistic, exceptional, positive, confident. And when you consistently use those labels instead of the negative ones, they become your self-fulfilling prophecy. When you start respecting yourself, other people start respecting you as well. And so if you are looking to boost your self-esteem, which is one of the best changes you can make to your life, take it from someone who went from negative and very insecure to very self-assured, I would highly recommend reading and implementing Real Confidence by Simone Kanego.
