Because I love science. That's a great question. Science is an investigation. I think what we're going to find out and we're finding out is what we thought we knew about science that was fact. Actually, I was taught it was fact. All the stuff that we've learned biology was just there was nothing more to know. There was nothing more to know in chemistry. There was not. I mean, maybe a little bit. But what's happening right now is that the quantum world has appeared. And this quantum world, if we if any of you are scientists, you already know. But if you aren't, you have to understand that this new understanding of the new sciences is just rocking everything we ever knew. So what we could imagine before, like we could imagine that we were energy, now we can take pictures of our energetic field. You see, we can literally prove it. So I don't know if it— I think for all of you out there that are not into science, It's okay. But I always say to my course— I teach a course all over the world, and I always say to my students, just feel what resonates with you. If something's interesting, do your research yourself. Because when you start researching quantum physics and all the ideas behind it and the new things that they're learning, it's like, oh, wow, this is crazy. Like, a whole new world appears to all of us. But we have to be willing Like, I mean, I think it was Albert Einstein, he said, like, you have to be willing to have a new thought, right? Or to think something up other than what you used to think. If we're not willing to change our thoughts and learn new things, then we cannot see this new possibility. No.
Kathleen, welcome to the Book Thinkers Life-Changing Books Podcast. I want to jump right into it today, and I'd love to have you introduce yourself by telling everybody about your spiritual experience at Disney World. I think that's a great place to start.
Oh my gosh. I'm surprised. That's a funny, interesting place to start, but I will. But for me, it was weird because I'm a very practical person. I'm a nurse. I always took care of everyone in my family. I have a big Irish Catholic family. I mean, we're really— I don't know if you know anything about that background, but the more the merrier is what they say. Yeah. And so, you know, I was very practical. I always just very grounded. I just wanted to be— get through life, do the best I could. I remember I just wanted to take care. That's the word. And so here I am in Disney World with my dad and my, my daughter, and we're having a blast going around. And I, I have been— by this point in my life, I had been changing a bit. I had been helping people heal holistically. but very physically too, like with nutrition and changing lifestyle patterns and coaching and all of this. But I had also been helping them energetically heal, which is another story. But here I was. But I— so I could— and I, since I was a young girl, I could get information like intuition and really specifics about people. And it got more and more and more in my life. And I, I mean, they say it's like a psychic ability, whatever, but I could do that very easily. But this was very jolting because it was a really different thing. And I, I even like, I'm starting with this. I hope the audience doesn't go, oh my gosh, this is crazy. But okay. So what happened was I just started hearing a voice and I really thought I was going cuckoo because I'm very grounded. And like I said, I just am not like this. And, and I, I just kept saying, I'm Michael, I'm Michael. And I was really like, okay, now I'm going, this is freaking me out because it just wouldn't stop actually. So So until I acknowledged that this voice was happening, I it it just then it went. Then it started flowing all the information. So basically, the message was: You've been chosen for a mission. You're going to be at this point. I didn't have. I was just teaching like remote, like randomly around the Netherlands and about health and nothing specific. And I had written a course and. I had done it once or twice, but it wasn't very professional. It was just beginning. So I didn't really think I was gonna be doing a whole lot with it. I was kind of nervous about it. And suddenly, just the message was, you've been writing all this, this year, and you've been writing it, and you've been being woken up at 3 in the morning, which is true. I was woken up at 3 in the morning to write ideas for this course, which were connecting the mind, body, and spirit. Spirit, how it works. And I thought at the time, like, that's crazy. What I learned is at 3 in the morning, if I didn't write it down, I literally would forget it. So it was painful because you know what it's like at 3 in the morning. You don't really want to get up because if you get up, you might not get back to sleep. So I, I knew I was in a constant— so when Michael, and it was Michael the Archangel, said this, I understood what he was talking— I, I was like, oh yeah, I've been waking up. It's really annoying. And he said, yeah, that's Thomas Aquinas. And Thomas Aquinas, what? So he— I didn't know it was Thomas Aquinas. He said, look Thomas and I up. And I'm like, okay, what does this mean? So I— it's like riddles, right? So I went on the internet and I said, Michael the Archangel and Thomas. And it was that Thomas Aquinas was known obviously with the Catholic Church for all his dogma. But apparently what I didn't know is he was known for his metaphysics. Physical understanding of life itself, and he was called the Angelic Doctor. So imagine I'm sitting there like, and you're an archangel, and this is like, okay, well, what is the message for me? So basically, it was I never really had this conversation after this 24 hours, but in that 24 hours, I was kind of told what would happen in the next like 20 years. Believe it or not, I knew it was going to be a long time because he said it would go slow. Humanity wasn't ready. You had to be patient. And it has been slow, and I just have been showing up. I tell all my family, I just have to go to work now. I think it's my time to work. I kind of— after my nursing career, I, I was, I was working, but I was mostly raising children. And I— now I'm really— now it's full time. So I said, okay, I'm gonna be doing this work. And I was afraid of this work to tell these things because I thought, oh, what will the people think if I tell this, my truth in this way, because they might think it's crazy. And then I got this energetic feeling like, it's okay, it doesn't matter. You— it'll be okay what you say. And then I wasn't afraid anymore. So that was kind of the cool part of the story, because I wasn't— I was terrified before that. So that's what happened. Really a crazy story. But everything that was told to me kept happening. Like, things just kept showing up. I didn't have to do anything. I just had to pay attention. So, you know, with the work I did.
Well, I'd love to kick it over to Luke for the next question, but we can, we can end this experience. I'll read a quote that I pulled from the book that I loved, because you kind of finished by saying, the biggest liberation we can experience as human beings is to free ourselves from our fears. In my case, the fears of sickness, limitation, and death. So what a wonderful story to kind of give the context of where you were and then sort of this new pathway that you've decided to commit yourself to. And I'll kick it over to Luke for the next one.
Oh man, I have so many, like there's so many questions like just coursing through my mind right now. But I was very excited for this conversation when I was doing a little bit of research on you. I got more and more excited and then we got on and before the call I was like, I wrote down, I mean, before we hit record, I wrote down like so many notes just from before we had a conversation. I'd love For our audience, you know, you, you were a nurse, you came from kind of a doctor's background and everything. So you had this experience at Disney World. And I'm curious, like, how did you, I don't know, bridge that gap between this very practical, grounded world to this very spiritual world without, like, I don't know, the doubt of it? Because I know myself, I am totally bought into all of this. Like, I'm totally bought into the whole spirituality world. But even me, I still have a lot of doubt about it. So for our listeners, like, what do you say to those people who think, oh man, this is so woo-woo and out there, I don't believe any of it, I'm still very grounded in facts and science?
Well, that's fun because I love science. That's a great question. Science is an investigation. I think what we're going to find out, and we're finding out, is what we thought we knew about science that was fact— actually, I was taught it was fact All the stuff that we've learned. Biology was just, there was nothing more to know. There was nothing more to know in chemistry. There was not, I mean, maybe a little bit, but what's happening right now is that the quantum world has appeared. And this quantum world, if we, if any of you are scientists, you already know, but if you aren't, you have to understand that this new understanding of the new sciences is just rocking everything we ever knew. So what we could imagine before, like we could imagine that we were energy. Now we can take pictures of our energetic field. You see, we can literally prove it. So I don't know if it— I think for all of you out there that are not into science, it's okay. But I always say to my course, I teach a course all over the world, and I always say to my students, just feel what resonates with you. If something's interesting, do your research yourself. Because when you start researching quantum physics and all the ideas behind it and the new things that they're learning, it's like, oh, wow, this is crazy. Like, a whole new world appears to all of us. But we have to be willing. Like, I mean, I think it was Albert Einstein who said, like, you have to be willing to have a new thought, right? Or to think something other than what you used to think. If we're not willing to change our thoughts and learn new things, then we cannot see this new possibility. No, that's true.
Amazingly said. Um, I'm curious about what is being healthy to you? Like, how— what does that look like and what does that mean? Because I think we have this, this view, especially in the West, of being healthy equals having a six-pack and huge arms and all that, and that's what health is. But to To you, what is, what is being healthy?
Well, the thing is, it's, it's really important that you realize it's multidimensional. Like, I think my mistake, or not mistake, I was okay as a nurse. Imagine I had these cancer patients who were losing, I mean, this is really horrible, but their, their face, their voice, their, it was really destructive, that kind of cancer I was working with. I was so young, but what it taught me was The first lesson was that the people were still there without a face, a nose, a tongue, a mouth, whatever they lost. They were still there. So as a young woman, I was like, oh, we're not our bodies really. Like we can exist without our bodies. Okay, that's kind of interesting. I also watched a lot of people die. So as I saw them die and they had stories, of course, because not all of them stayed dead. I had a funny story of a of a guy who missed. I can tell. Well, we called him Mr. Mama. But anyway, this was 35 years ago at least. And he would hold his breath and code every time because he wanted to get our attention. Because the minute he would code, we had to resuscitate him again. Isn't that crazy? And so we would be like, no, no, no, don't do that. You know, all the nurses, and he loved us. And then we would bring him back and it was all a story. But the point is that he would tell us stories like, oh, it's no big deal over there. I love Love over there, love over here. And then we ask them questions about it. The point is, you cannot imagine what we don't know until we have those experiences, right? So as a nurse, I had to realize that we were not our body alone, but yet our body mattered. We were not our emotions alone, yet our emotions mattered. We were not our spiritual, spiritual self, Our energetic self. And yet that mattered. Actually, that triumphed. And we were not our mental. And I end with mental because, whoa, what a mental world we're in right now. We are not our mental. But if our mental is not— if we are with negativity in the mental realm, we are not going to have the life we dream. No, no way. Because the mental thought is actually where it begins.
So Kathleen, you've come up with this idea of your Creator Matrix as a way to begin to understand how all of these different things interact. And also, we can use this framework to enhance our lives a little bit. So why don't you just kind of define your Creator Matrix, the Creator Matrix for everybody as a starting point?
Great. So a matrix is actually a structure from which something is formed. And we— it kind of got a bad rap in a way with— not a bad rap, but if we look at a matrix in the old world and the structures that are falling apart at this time, it kind of feels heavy. And wow, do we want to be in that matrix? We sort of feel like a prison in that matrix. But actually, a matrix is just a structure, and we can keep breaking down structures and building new ones that serve us. And that's what we've done throughout history. Right? So we're just doing it again in a big way right now. It's a very special time on Earth. And I will say for anyone that doesn't understand what's happening, it's really in a huge jump in our awareness, our consciousness. So that might seem really out there for some of you, but it is happening. And what does that mean? That means that we are suddenly seeing things that— and feeling things and everything that we, that we were not aware of. And it can be a very uncomfortable process because things are coming up, like emotions or themes like war and conflict and everything that's happening right now that we can't just seem to get away from. And it's coming up so that we can change it. Right? Like, that's the thing. So to create a new world, we have to break the old one down, and we have to think, oh, well, what do I wanna do differently? If I create my reality, I'm, I'm a creator, and we're starting to understand that we influence our lives. We didn't understand that, by the way, when I was young. Very few of us did. So this is a huge change already. So as we're learning this, we can know it mentally, like we can say, oh yeah, I create my reality. But then we're in the reality. The Matrix is your physical vehicle interacting with your environment. And you have to learn, and this is what we're learning, how to control this vehicle. And if we don't, then we're not gonna be able to be strong, powerful, wonderful creators that we are. We're gonna create what we don't want because we're not realizing that we create our re— we realize it, but we're not, we're not aware in the moment when it matters, actually. So it matters in this moment right now, not the past.
Mm-hmm.
So those that think about how bad such and such was for them, or this guy did this to me, and they keep thinking that thought, they're never going to get out of and get a good relationship because they keep thinking that thought. And those that are like, oh, I'm never going to find the right boyfriend or girlfriend, that thought is not going to get them anywhere. The thought that will get you somewhere is in the moment saying, I'm such a wonderful human being, I'm going to attract the most wonderful person.
I've always believed that I am a creator. I mean, I really have believed that, and I think that's why I've been able to build this community and the podcast and have conversations with people like you. But I've never had a resource that I could give to somebody else that so clearly explains it. So here's my next question, and then I'll kick it back over to Luke for a little bit because I feel like I've been hogging the mic. If somebody's listening to this show and they're feeling disconnected, they go, okay, that sounds great for you, Kathleen. That sounds great for you, Nick and Luke. You guys are creators, but I'm disconnected. I don't feel like I'm in control. I'm building a reality that does not satisfy me or fulfill me. What are some of the first steps that people can take to start to get back in the driver's seat? I'm sitting here today with Ken Rusk, who has done hundreds of millions of dollars in business. He's also sold tens of thousands of books and changed countless lives. We're sitting here today because he is sponsoring today's episode. So, Ken, tell everybody about your course.
Thank you.
I built a course called The Path to a Successful Life. It's designed around trying to get somebody unstuck. You know, sometimes you're feeling like you're kind of stuck in where you are and you're not really sure what you want your life to look like or how to go about getting it. Well, for the cost of about dinner and a movie and maybe the time you'd spend on a weekend, you can exactly what you want your future to look like and how to go about getting it. You know the power of vision. That's why you watch podcasts like this. So click the link below, get signed up, and let me know what your experience is like.
That's a beautiful question. Thank you, Nick. I think, I think it's really important that you realize the first thing is to realize you have power because, and, and what, and what Luke was saying, how can I believe that I really can influence my life? Well, start to practice. Start to play with it. Stop, stop saying, uh, I, okay, stop saying, oh gosh, this isn't gonna happen. You know, those thoughts come in like, oh, this is baloney. I'm never gonna be able to do this. If that thought comes up, just get rid of that thought. I just say delete button, delete button. And then I say, okay, what would I like to put in place of that delete of what I just thought, which is that's impossible? Well, how about the thought that it is possible and that you can? So one of the things that's important is to practice being in the moment and so, and visualizing sort of and Feeling that life you want. Like, okay, let's give you an example. I would like to have a lot of—I'm going to be practical here—a lot of money coming in my bank account because I'm sick of all these debts I'm in. And then you're thinking of the bills. Well, don't go there. That's definitely a no-no. But if you're in the present moment, you're like, wow! What would it be like to have a lot of enough money that I wouldn't have to think of that anymore? And not only enough, but more than enough. Well, what would that feel like? Because it's all about the feeling. And then you feel, feel it feels great, right? And then you just feel that every day. You just practice feeling that. And that's how you start to make a difference. Really, you start to impact it tremendously, really quickly. Practice.
So good.
Well, it's simple in a way, but It is.
And that's what I was gonna ask, like, why do we, even though it's simple, we know we kinda have the knowledge of how to do it, why do we have so much resistance to that?
First of all, you have to realize, and I talk about this in the book, we are, we are inheriting things from our ancestors. And we are, this gets to that question that Kat had about fear and fears. We are inheriting things in our DNA, good things like blue eyes and whatever, whatever we inherit. or, like, positive entrepreneurial spirit we can inherit. Nobody talks about that, but we can. But we can also inherit the negative because we've been living in both positive, what we call duality, right? So we, a lot of times in our subconscious, we have a conscious that's very aware, that being in the moment now, aware state. And we have a subconscious which is below the surface. And that's where all our fears are and all these emotions that we talked about that we can inherit. So it's very specific what we can inherit. And I inherited, and I talk about that in the book, the fear of suffering, death, and illness from my ancestry. Now, my brother didn't. He inherited something completely different. I mean, that's the funny thing. Genes don't work linearly. They kind of skip and go all over the place. But you kind of get— you have to be able to self-reflect. What are the things that— what are the fears That are kind of ruling my life. Look at what storylines are showing up. By the way, we're not our stories. I talk about that. So look at what's showing up. Is it constantly that you're sick? Well, somewhere in the line, somewhere in the subconscious, you— there's some fears that you're not going to be well, and you don't— you might have a trust with your own body, let's say. You see what I'm saying? So we're all different and we all have different things, fears that we inherit. Not everybody's the same. But when we were in survival mode in the past, very much. I mean, just watch some of these movies. You're like, wow, I can't even believe this. I watched pioneering movies recently in the United States because that's a big deal. And my family was with that, Daughters of the American Revolution. And they were actually the kind that went in the covered wagons. And I'm thinking what they went through, you know, we don't even realize it. So, and you know, that's just one story. There's so many that are in our DNA line. So maybe you have a fear of relationships. You've been hurt in a past, like some grandma was left and whatever, or maybe they all died in the Spanish plague, or I don't know what the storyline is, but we've had them and they influence us. So start to be aware of what's showing up. What is the story constantly showing up? And then you get an insight into what you have to change and work on.
So powerful. I like— I just— I'm getting so excited because I can't wait to share this with, with our audience and our people because this is such amazing things and these are such amazing things and concepts. And I feel like we've had this understanding of, you know, just to understand the knowledge of, okay, you need to do this, you need to do this, but you're giving such practical tips on how to actually implement these things, which is, I feel, the hard part for people to understand. So this is wonderful. I'm curious about your book, The Creator— Your Creator Matrix. What, what was the influence behind writing that book? Like, why did you decide, okay, I need to put a book out there? Because you had done a course and you have your Wellness Revolution. So why, why a book?
Well, you know what happened? I actually, I think about it sometimes. Like, look, I didn't necessarily know that I— what was going to be actually every little part of this book when I started, but I knew one thing: we have a sick care world. And I, as a nurse, I cannot take— I— this is not the world that I can imagine. I think we need to have a well system. My vision is a world where people are thriving, not just surviving. I couldn't— I really— it upsets me because I'll give you an example. Really, I went and I went to these retreats a long time ago and people were meditating. And that's very nice, very important to meditate. But when I went to the back of the room, they were like, I have cancer, I have autoimmune, I have this. And I'm like, okay, that's not really healthy. And I know you're meditating and everything, but, like, the whole is not whole. It's not okay. So then I started seeing it the other way. Like, it was people who are, like, so into, like, their bodies, and they've got to exercise 24/7. And then they have spiritual breakouts and burnouts, and they're, they're just totally burned out. They burn out their bodies because they're not connected to the energetic field that we all come from. So they don't know how to rejuvenate. It's like an apple. Let's say an apple. We pull it from the tree. What happens to that apple? Happens after a couple days.
Starts to rot.
Yeah. So if we aren't connected to our field of where we get energy, we lose energy. And so that's part of the Creator Matrix, realizing— and people call that all kinds of names. You don't— I don't need to name it for you. You can name it yourself. But there is a field, and that is scientifically proven. that we are connected to where we get— we can rejuvenate. So I think it's powerful, actually. So, but the body is important, all of it. And the emotions too, by the way. We haven't really gotten into that, but emotions can totally make people not well. They are really— you can get stuck.
Well, Kathleen, I was sharing with you before we press record that a lot of people listen to this podcast as a way to discover new books and maybe new personalities. thought leadership personalities like yourself. And as we release content, we see what resonates, what doesn't resonate. And I know that a lot of people are looking for resources to help them manage stress and anxiety. Those stress and anxiety numbers, they continue to skyrocket. There are all sorts of reasons for that. We're all disconnected. We're all consuming instant gratification, social media stuff that when we compare ourselves to it, It creates a feeling of, you know, lack of fulfillment and all sorts of things. And I thought in chapter 2, as I was reading your book, you know, you talk about the importance of balancing active and passive energies in our lives. So I'm curious, like, what strategies or exercises would you give somebody that's having a really tough time managing to find balance and they're struggling with high stress and anxiety lives? Like, what are some of the first steps that people might be able to take?
Well, that's a really good question. I would say it's really important to understand it as a whole. Because if you don't understand the concept, you can't do anything about it. That's what I've noticed. So they call it yin and yang, but you don't have to worry about that. We can also say it's like in science, it's your sympathetic, like going out in the world, totally excited, building something, creating something. And then this other part, this like slowing down, digesting, Getting, like, realizing, like, what you've done, what you've created. I don't know if you've ever done some huge creation and then you, like, are exhausted afterwards and you're like, why are we so tired? Well, it's because you have not given yourself enough time to rest and digest. So we, we have a very on society and very overstressed cortisol, like, addicted society, actually. And this society doesn't give us We don't understand that if we just keep going, keep going, the whole battery, the whole matrix will just start falling apart on all levels, will start to break down. So that's one problem. The other problem are people who stay all the time in the rest and digest. They're procrastinators. They're afraid to do anything because they might fail. So they're never actually realizing they create their reality. they don't go out there and they're way too much in the yin. So they're resting and digesting the whole time and then they're bored and their life has no meaning actually. So, so we have 2 problems, right? We don't just have one problem, we have 2, but our world is really overstressed. So I agree with you. In the book, I say that you have to deal with all levels with stress, the physical, what is causing The physical stress, probably the diet a lot. What are you eating? Are you constantly taking the bad sugar, the high glycemic carbohydrates? What are you putting in your mouth every day? And I'm not saying you shouldn't have some of that, but we, in our course, we say 80/20 rule. Like, do 80%, like, really pure food and really feel better. You really start feeling better when you eat like that. And then 20%, have fun. Okay? But if you do The opposite, like 80% wild. I mean, college kids do that. You're gonna have probably a consequence eventually. The body's gonna start telling you, I'm not so happy and I'm stressed out. Then you're gonna have the emotions, right? So if you have relationships with people and you're just emotionally reacting all the time and you're feeling sad all the time, or the lower frequencies, and you're not able to move through them, there are techniques that you can learn. To get rid of, like, get, like, pass through them. Like, you should pass through emotions. You should say, oh, I'm sad. Okay, why is that? Okay, let's let that go now. Now I can feel joy. Because you know what? If I just ask you as the audience today to feel the word joy, just feel it. Say, I'm joyful. Yeah, what happens? You feel joy. It makes a difference, right? You feel it. So When we learn little techniques like that, we can move through our emotions. And spiritually, it's just really about realizing that there's a connection that we have to a field that is infinite, that gives us energy, that can bring us joy, bring us anything we want. And that we can't see with our eyes, but we can feel. Like, I'll tell you what's happening. I, as I help people heal, Can feel that field physically. So when I'm in someone's aura, I can feel it. It feels like— and when I work with people energetically, I can do a healing on them. I could even do a healing on you 2 right now, and you would feel it. You would say, I feel— oh, I feel, like, cold in my body, or I feel— so we can influence each other's energetic field, and we are all day long. You know how you guys, you walk through a dark alley and you think— He has a bad vibe. But he didn't tell you anything. How did you get that information? Right? So you start to listen to that part of yourself and you start to get information. More and more, we will have access to this as the world is shifting. And so I encourage everyone who's listening, the audience, to pay attention to those thoughts, those intuitive thoughts, because Because they're really important.
I'm feeling pretty challenged right now because that's something that I've been trying to show up more in my life is following that intuition. And it's funny because not only do I have doubt when I follow it, but also like others, friends, family, they're like, what are you doing? You're crazy. It's just like the simple going up to somebody and saying something that I feel they need to hear. And I'm just so thankful that you said that because like, that's just the exact words I needed today. I'm— I want to mention in your book, and we can— I know we have, we have to wrap up here soon, but I wanted to mention the, the drawings and illustrations in your book before we, before we wrapped up, just because I thought they were so amazing and so cool. And, um, can you just tell us about why it was important for you to have those in there and about that whole process?
We're gonna— we, we have to learn to manage our— this creator matrix. And it's not easy. Like you were saying, you've been working on it, right? You've been trying. You've been really focused, Luke. Right? So there's something in you guiding you there. And Nick also with his journeys. So, but the thing is, some of these concepts are easier to understand visually. So I asked my sister, who is an artist, she's really great. And we came together to do this project for humanity, and she is awesome. And you can actually purchase her, her artwork. So it's so beautiful. It's very high frequency. And I think if something speaks to you and you look at it, it can influence you. It can help you to create a better life just by looking at those pictures. Believe it or not, it's a reminder, right? Like, You're like, okay, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I have to remember this every day that I'm doing this. I'm in control. It's funny though.
I love that. And yeah, we have a thing that Nick always likes to say, which is play bigger triggers. And even today I'm wearing this shirt that says gratitude on it. And every single time I see it, it reminds me to be grateful. And I integrate more and more of that in my life. Like I have artwork on the walls that just remind me of those bigger and better things, which encourages me to, to act better, to act in more joy, to act in more gratitude and all those things. So I love that. And I think it's so cool that you were able to bring your sister in on this, this project.
I will say one thing about gratitude. See, we're not really— you don't need to control things like we used to. Like, that's part of the problem when we are trying to create our reality, that we have to control everything. If we learn to trust that, and that that is what you're wrestling with, trusting. So one of the things I would encourage you to say every day is, I trust that I can create my reality. And even saying that, you give you give an intention into the universe that's quite powerful. So yeah, you we have we have the best power we have is to trust, and it isn't always easy because this world. Gives us a lot of reason not to trust. But the more we can stay focused on trust, and that has a frequency too, and in our hearts, we will be more and more powerful to affect our reality.
Wow, that gave me goosebumps. Amazing. Exactly the words. I feel like this whole podcast has been all the words that I've needed to hear today. Nick, before we wrap things up, do you have any other questions you'd like to ask?
Yes, I'll say that for everybody in the audience, I've read, you know, I've read a little over, I think, 120, 130 pages so far. I'm loving the book and there's still so much that I haven't read yet that I'm really excited to read. So if you want my final thoughts on the book, you can check out some of our book review posts on Instagram. By the time this launches, you'll see some of the content that I've put out there. with some of the additional tools and frameworks and strategies that I've implemented and found useful. I do have one more question, Kathleen. This is something I haven't done, but I know you're a fan of it. The Enneagram.
Oh, yeah.
So how is this— how is understanding personality influences useful in our lives? And how does this tie into the matrix?
Oh, yeah, this is a great question. So I didn't even know anything about the Enneagram, and I had to take a course for ICF, International Coach Federation. to get the accreditations I give to my students. And I took a, like, a 10-day course with a world expert on the Enneagram. And I was just raw. I went in there, I had no idea. I was like, so embarrassed. They all knew their Enneagram and everything. I was like, oh my goodness. But you know what's so crazy? After that 8 days, I understood myself so much better because I've always had this kind of propelling force in me. Not only those fears that were guiding, like I talk about them, But the fears were like, if I, I wouldn't succeed. So there, for me, I was a number 3, and that is all about success, and I wanted that so much. But what I had— so what I've learned after I went away from that was how maybe the universe wanted to make sure we were all different, because how boring would it be if we were all the same? But the problem is we end up with partners usually, or people around us that are very different. They have a different Personality. And then we wanna kinda make them like us because it's uncomfortable. And that is the thing that we have to realize in relationship, that we have to accept that we're not the same, and we have to treasure the difference and ask the question, what am I to learn? My husband is a number 8. He is a total control type. I'm a heart type. He drove me crazy. I'll give you an example. He doesn't mind me telling the story. But when I first met him and we were dating, And he— I went to his office and he was like, uh, you know, he was mad at his secretary and he said, she is weak. And I remember thinking, that would be the last thing I would say. Like, I went— that word wouldn't even come in my vocabulary. But for a number 8, they don't want to be weak. That would be the worst thing for them. So I learned a lot and I suddenly was getting along a lot better. I mean, my husband and I have a lot of fun. But we were under— we were— now we laugh. We're like, oh yeah, we're at an Enneagram moment. Okay, you're an 8. I'm a 3. So it's a different motivation. It's a different character. It's a different thing that propels us. So he's funny because he even says, yeah, you've got your book, so now it has to be successful. And I'm like, yeah, but I'm a little older now, so I, I look at success differently than I used to. I, it's okay if I, like, I'm at the point where I, I hope people will read it, but I'm okay. I, I trust— remember that word, trust— I trust that the right readers will come that need this book.
Oh, I, I love that, and I agree with you. I trust that the right readers will come too. I'm one of them for sure.
Have you done your Enneagram?
A long time ago. I forget it. My wife is actually really into that, so I should get more into that. It's, it's been a while, and I for— I was trying to remember what my, um, number was. I wanted to say 6, but I forget. I forget what it is.
Well, if you are a 6, then that would explain your problem you're having now with this trust thing. Probably. They're trusting. Isn't that funny? So I always see this because the, the 6s have a little person on their shoulder constantly saying, are you sure that's gonna go right? Are you sure? Do you have that? You could be a 6. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You have to put, you have to ask that little person to go on vacation. Okay.
All right. That's. That's gonna be the goal for the next month. All right, man, I got it, I got it. It's all good.
But read— if you read the book, I have a very good summary and it helps you. But that's just the beginning. If you learn the Enneagram, you can take a test and yeah, you can really find out about yourself.
Yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonna definitely have that, um, more of a robust conversation with my wife about that and, uh, explore that a little bit because it's been a while. I did it like years and years and years ago, but it would be cool to, to look at it now. All right, I have 2 more questions. The first is, where can people go to find out a little bit more about you and follow along your story?
Well, I have a website, A Wellness Revolution. I train health and wellness coaches all over the world already for 7 years, and I've trained already 500 health coaches. So it's really about well-being. It's really about helping the new healthcare system come. And I have so many cool health coaches all over the world already with functional medicine doctors and starting their own businesses. And it's very cool actually to watch. So yeah, so they can go there.
Perfect. And we'll make sure we link that stuff in the show notes. All right. My final question is this, and I like to ask it to all of our guests, and that's this. If you pass away and all the information that you put out, the books, courses, your website, all the social medias, everything disappears, but you can leave the world with a single piece of advice, What would it be? That's cool.
To realize that you are literally love. That's what we are. And anything less is just an experience.
Oh, I have to sit with that one for a few minutes. So beautiful. Thank you. Wow.
Lovely to meet you both. Very, very, very grateful to meet you both.
You too. Thank you so much, Kathleen. This has been awesome. I can't wait to have more conversations with you in the future and can't wait to feature your book on our page.
