Could you give a suggestion maybe for a parent listening to today's podcast, something that they could do with their children to encourage a little bit more self-care and mindfulness?
So responding to kids, we teach them to pause first, right? We can teach them to take more breaks by doing breaks with them and pay attention while we're having a conversation. The other thing we can do is pause just before we start eating. It's just a way that also creates a more respectful and mindful relationship. So basically the self-care mindset is not just for ourselves, it's for each other and learning how to have that relationship. Because our relationship with others affects us more than we realize in our lives, in our families, our much greater care and belonging and seeing how we matter, seeing our value. All of that is in relationship with each other. It's not just something we're running around doing on our own.
