Is there anything more important than our own health?

A man so consumed by work he stopped eating properly died in his early 60s. His son Brian says he's proud of what his father built, but wishes he'd taken care of himself and stuck around for his family.
Chapters
He was so focused and singular on what he was doing that some days he would throw a candy bar in his trunk, come home that night, the candy bar would still be in his trunk and he hadn't eaten all day. And he would just like push his body, push his body, push his body, push his body until basically at the end of his life, you know, it wasn't a matter of, oh, I can change it. It was all the neglect had compounded and he declined very, very rapidly and died in his early 60s. Found an article that had interviewed his sons. Mm-hmm. And one of his sons, Brian, for those who are listening, you know, if you have kids, I want you to imagine passing on a little bit earlier than you probably should have and having one of your kids say this about you. He said, yeah, I'll look at all that my dad had done and he made a lot of impact. He did a lot of good, but couldn't he have just taken a little bit better care of his body and his health so he could be here today with us still doing those things? And just like when I read that, it just like hit me.
