Hello, Book Thinkers family! This is the book review that everybody has been asking me for. Today's book tip is going to come from Limitless by Jim Kwik. The subtitle of this book is Upgrade Your Brain, Learn Anything Faster, and Unlock Your Exceptional Life. And for those of you that don't know, Jim Kwik is a celebrity brain coach. He takes the world's best people and he makes them better at what they do. And now you have access to those same tools. So I'd highly recommend this book. I devoured it, and I've read hundreds and hundreds of books over the last couple years, but I took more notes out of this book than just about anything I've ever read. It was that good. Also, Jim is not paying me to wear this t-shirt, but I bought it because I'm interested in having more conversations with people about what it means to be limitless. So to start off my review today, I'm going to read something out of the introduction. I think it will get you just as excited as I currently am right now. So Jim says that, quote, one of my core beliefs is that human potential is one of the only infinite resources we have in the world. Most everything else is finite, but The human mind is the ultimate superpower. There is no limit to our creativity, imagination, determination, or ability to think, reason, or learn. Yet this resource is among the least tapped. All of us can be the heroes of our own story, dipping into the well of our potential every single day and never having that well run dry. But so few of us approach our lives this way. What it means to be limitless— it means to unlock all of that potential and live your exceptional life. There's actually a quote up top on the book from Will Smith, who's one of my favorite actors. He's extremely well accomplished. And he says that, Jim Kwik knows how to get the maximum out of me as a human being. And I think that that's what this book did for me. It touches on so many different areas of learning. And we all know that it's important to learn, but what is the most effective way to learn? And so Jim touches on everything from what food you put in your body to maximize your brain's capacity to work and to be healthy, to different speed reading techniques. He talks about different efficiency techniques, and by the way, speed reading—that's a subject that I've never actually learned about. Having read hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of books and receiving the recommendations from all of the book thinkers' family members that have taken speed reading courses, especially by Jim, you would have think that I would have done that by now. And so, as I was going through this book, I learned about things like regression and subvocalization that I didn't even know about. And so, this book itself increased my reading speed. And by the way, Jim is all about increasing retention. As well. You want to digest the information, reflect on it, and understand it. Speed reading isn't about getting the most books done, it's about using your time effectively. And so if I can get through a book quicker and more efficiently and understand more of what the author is actually communicating to me, then I have more time to implement that information as well. So I've completely changed my stance on speed reading. Jim talks about 100 other topics that I think are really important. One thing this book also caused me to do was rewrite my daily Jim talks about the fact that the most important words in the human language, especially English, is the two small words I am because I am frees you from being limited, and I am helps you to identify a personality that you want to be or that you already are. And so for me, I am a student of the world. I am a lifelong learner. I am a reader. And those are all very important things that have happened to me over the last couple years. And my affirmations go on and on. But you can tell how excited. I am. What I'd like from everybody is for you to read this book. Also, I had a one-hour conversation with Jim recently. He was a guest on my podcast, which is coming out very soon, and we had an incredible conversation about all of these things, including some of his favorite books. So tune into that when it comes out. Buy a copy of this book. Let me know in the comments what you think of this book. And my message to everybody is to become limitless. You'll enjoy it. I enjoyed it. With that, my video is over. Have a fantastic day. Bye.
