The winner effect means each success triggers brain chemicals that boost confidence for the next task. Speaker B describes a bracelet system: move a bracelet each time you complete a habit like meditation or the gym, creating a visual reward that compounds small wins into feeling like you won the day.
Can you tell us a little bit more about the bracelet system that you use?
So there's a thing called the winner effect. There's a huge science behind it. And what it says is that when you win, the biology and the chemistry in our brain changes and it creates a new self-sense of confidence and intelligence, and you're just more capable of performing the next task. And so I want people to have a tangible understanding that they're making these wins, right? Because too often you'll be like, oh, I don't really feel successful because we forget all the things we did to get to where we are. And so I want people to have that visual representation of looking at your wrist and being like, man, I'm already killing it. in the day. What I do is I get up in the morning, I move a bracelet. So as soon as I move that bracelet, then I hit my meditation. Then I go right to the gym, I get my exercise out, I move it. So anytime that I'm doing that thing that I know I want to do, that's like my dopamine hits. Like having a task list and you cross something off of it. And when the night's over, now if I got 3 bracelets left and it's 9 o'clock, I'm like, okay, let me read a chapter. Let me get into bed before 10 o'clock and let me not fall asleep to the TV.
You know, like there's 3 wins. Boom. Now I won the day.
I just want people
