“This kid thinks Everest is the hardest thing in the whole world. I’m climbing it” - @thejenndrummond

Tell us a little bit about the story of climbing Mount Everest and how you decided to do that. I've heard that story a few times and I absolutely love it.

So I think life has a way being humorous, right? Like, so here I am training for a mountain named Ama Dablam and I'm training for this mountain because my friends convinced me if I was gonna climb one more mountain in the whole world, that would be the one I should climb. 'Cause every time I'd watch a Paramount Pictures movie, I could be like, I climbed that mountain in that logo. Like, that's my mountain. And so here I am training for Ama Dablam and COVID happens. And I'm homeschooling all these little monsters, and one of my kids is struggling, and I'm giving him that parent pep talk like, "We do hard things. You've got this." He looks at me and he goes, "If we do hard things, why are you climbing a mountain called I'm a Dumb Blonde instead of a real mountain like Mount Everest?" And I sat there for a second. I'm a dumb blonde. I'm a da blom, honey. Not I'm a dumb blonde. But thank you. And so finish your homework. We looked at Everest. He went to bed. I was still looking at Everest, and I thought, "You know what?"
