In this solo vlog, Nick Hutchison introduces the book Vagabonding by Rolf Potts, explaining how it reshaped his perspective on long‑term, affordable world travel. He begins by displaying his large world map pinboard, noting that he added pins for five new countries visited in 2019 and outlining plans for 2020, including an upcoming trip to Peru. Nick shares that he discovered the book through Tim Ferriss, who also helped produce the audiobook, and he has both read the print edition and listened to the audio version. He emphasizes that extended travel doesn’t require quitting a job or taking massive vacation time; instead, it can be integrated into everyday life with thoughtful time and money management. He recommends the book, promises future videos about it, and ends by asking viewers to comment their dream 2020 destinations.

Hello, Book Thinkers family! Today's video is going to be about the book Vagabonding by Ralph Potts, which is over my shoulder right here, and it's going to be about travel. So I wanted to kick off the video by showing everybody my large pinboard of the world. Every time I visit a new place, I put a pin in the map, as you can see right here, and it's been such a fun way to track my adventures. In 2019, I got the opportunity to visit 5 new countries And that's also my plan for 2020. A lot of that's already been scheduled, but I'm actually going to be in Peru by the time I post this video, most likely. So check out my stories, you'll probably see some fun stuff. So this book right here has had an amazing impact on my life, and it's one of my top 5 favorite books. It's also one of the top 5 books that have impacted my life the most. I'm definitely going to reread it again this year. I learned about this book through Tim Ferriss, and he actually helped produce the audiobook. I read the physical book and I listened to the audiobook, and this book opened me up to the idea of long-term world travel. It doesn't need to be that expensive. You have the opportunity to go live in another country, and it doesn't need to be so crazy. People think they need to quit their jobs or take vacation time. There are ways to live your life and to manage your time that travel does not need to be so disruptive. Really, I truly believe that. So I'd highly recommend reading this book. I'm going to do other videos on it, but I just wanted to show everybody the map. I was kind of the point of today's video, and I'm super excited to continue to travel. Where would you like to go in 2020? That's the question. Comment below, let me know what your dream destination is, and if you have anything planned, feel free to include that as well. Take care, go travel, bye! Bye!
