Stop abusing your future self. That's one of my favorite lessons from this book, Living with a SEAL, by author Jesse Itzler. Imagine this, David Goggins comes to stay at your house for a month and makes you exercise every single day. That's the outline of this book. And there's this certain point where Jesse's on a run and he wants to give up. He's thinking to himself, if I just stop running, my leg won't hurt as much. I can go home, it's warm, I can eat a piece of pizza, but tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'm gonna regret the fact that I didn't finish the run. So what does he do? He pushes through, he finishes the run, and he's kind to his future self who won't have any regrets when he wakes up in the morning. So where are you stopping short in life and where should you be pushing through so that you could be more kind to your future self?
