Nick Hutchison and Rachel did their own yard work instead of hiring help, digging up grass and building raised garden beds. He credits Ken Rusk's book Blue Collar Cash for reminding him that hands-on work lets you step back and admire what you made.

Shout out Ken Rusk, author of Blue Collar Cash. What an amazing book. In his book, he talks about a stand back moment. When you do something with your hands, you get to look back and say, wow, that looks fantastic. And so instead of outsourcing our yard work this weekend, Rachel and I decided to dig up the grass, put down some landscape fabric. We're putting in some spacers where the rocks will go on top of, like a little border here. Rachel built some, uh, raised gardening beds. And yeah, we're loving the work. I'm a little dirty. I'm a little dirty.
