Nick Perry says the early signs of a good business partner don't matter: matching energy, putting in money, showing up to meetings. What matters is who stays when the cash runs out and problems pile up.
A business partner who matches your energy on day one means jack shit. A partner who throws money into the deal means jack shit. This one's gonna hurt, but a partner who signs the LLC with you means jack shit. A partner who shows up to every meeting means jack shit. A partner who hypes you up on social media and tells everyone you're building something means jack shit. A partner who's still grinding with you when the money dries up and the problems stack up, that's a partner who means shit.
