Meta tracks your activity on other apps and websites. To stop it, go to Account Center, toggle off Activity off Meta Technologies, then turn off Manage Future Activity. This blocks Meta from seeing what you do outside Facebook and Instagram.
Instagram and Facebook are tracking everything that you do, both online and offline, both in the app and out of the app. So if you want to shut that down, here's how in two simple steps. First, click these three little lines, then go to the account center. Now go to your information and permission. Once you've done that, just tap Activity off Meta Technologies. You're not done yet, so scroll down until you find Manage Future Activity and turn that off. This stops Meta from being able to let businesses feed them info about what you're doing off the app. Make sure to send this to a friend who values their privacy.
