Nick Perry warns against saying "yes" to unknown callers. Scammers record your affirmative response and use the audio to authorize fraudulent charges. Answer with a question instead, or hang up.
Never ever say this word on the phone with someone you don't know. Let me explain. Scammers are asking basic questions like, "Can you hear me?" "Is this Nick Perry?" or "Are you the homeowner?" They record you saying this word, and then they use your voice recording to authorize fraudulent transactions or charges to your account. So if this happens to you, don't say the word "yes." Answer their question with a question, or just hang up. Share this with your family and friends.
