You only need to worry about making three people proud. And it's not your girlfriend, your husband, your dad or your mom. It's people ten times more important. Number one is the little eight year old you. Look, you don't give a shit about the person that you are today because you're not evolving as much. But you should care about what little you would think of current you. Number two is 80 year old you. If they were here today, what would they say? Would they say I'm proud of you for making that decision or would they say why the fuck did you do that? And number three is you tomorrow. Look, sometimes we have bad days and mess up. We say things like today isn't my day or I'm not being my best person and we can completely forget that there's a tomorrow. Just think to yourself, will the person who's going to wake up refreshed, ready to go be proud of you? Because if they aren't, you got some work to do.
