Luxury vinyl plank flooring traps moisture under the planks, creating conditions for mold growth that can cause lung disease, neurological problems, and skin rashes. The water-resistant surface is misleading: it acts as a vapor barrier that prevents moisture from escaping the subfloor.
Never, ever, ever use this as your flooring or else you will be very, very sick. The flooring is lvp, or luxury vinyl plank, and it's plastic, water resistant from the top and is almost unbreakable. But here's the thing, once those planks get clicked together, they create somewhat of a vapor barrier. So if there is a moisture problem under it, then it has nowhere to go. And when that happens, it gets trapped under the LVP and causes the buildup of mold. When it builds up, it releases germs that can give you lung problems, brain problems and rashes. So make sure to.
