Nick Perry shares three prompt techniques for better ChatGPT answers: ask for step-by-step reasoning, tell it to search the internet for current info, and have it ask clarifying questions until it's 95% confident. He credits these for getting pro-level results.
If you want to get the best answers from ChatGPT, put these three things at the end of every message you send it. Here's number one. It's a technique called chain of thought. Take a deep breath and take it step by step. Here's number two. Remember to search the Internet for up to date information. ChatGPT has access to the Internet, so I love throwing that in there so it fetches up to date information. And here's number three. Ask me clarifying questions until you are 95% confident you can complete the task successfully. I add those three things to the end of every ChatGPT message and that's how I get pro level answers.
