YouTube video by Nick Perry warning viewers—especially parents and kids—that in Arizona, merely being present where illegal acts occur can lead to arrest. The speaker relays advice from a defense attorney and urges people to immediately leave scenes of drugs, fights, vandalism, or similar incidents to avoid being implicated.
You're going to get arrested and put in jail. If you don't know that, you need to share this with your kids now. Because what I learned from a defense attorney is about to shock you and save your kids ass. If they are ever with friends and something illegal happens. Drugs, fighting, vandalism, improper photos, they must leave immediately. Yes, even if it's the group chat. Look, this isn't being paranoid. In Arizona, presence is participation. Sometimes it's not only the person who threw the punch, took the pills or fired the gun who gets thrown in court. It's also those who stood nearby. You don't have to be guilty to get caught up in these things.
