In this instructional segment, the speaker outlines the primary acupuncture points on the kidney meridian—Kidney 1 (the meridian’s opening) and Kidney 27 (its terminus). Kidney 1 is described as a powerful "spring point" useful for insomnia, fatigue, and general weakness because it activates the meridian at its origin. Kidney 27, located at the meridian’s end, is linked to the emotion of fear; chronic fear may indicate a kidney deficiency. The speaker expands on the broader concept of kidney essence, which underpins physical constitution, immunity, and, in women, reproductive health. As women age (mid‑40s), kidney essence tends to wane, making kidney meridian treatment especially important. The right‑side segment of the meridian is termed the "life door," a focal point for strengthening vitality. Overall, the speaker emphasizes that regardless of a patient’s presenting complaint, supporting the kidney channel can bolster overall health and resilience.

On this protocol, it basically gives you the first kidney 1 and kidney 27. Kidney 1 is, of course, the very first point of the meridian of the kidney. And this is a huge, strong, strong point. I mean, if you have any kind of insomnia, tiredness, fatigue, that is the point as well to use because it's the spring point in acupuncture. It's considered, you know, where basically the, the bubbly spring, it starts there. So when something starts at the very beginning, it's a much stronger point to use a patch or a needle on. And then Kidney 27 is at the very end of the, uh, the meridian. But like, the kidney deals in acupuncture with the emotion of fear. So when people are extremely fearful, that can also mean— not always, but it can mean— you can start asking questions. Are you fearful? Are you afraid of something? Are you particularly afraid all the time? You know, like Some people are just always afraid of something, and that can mean that there is basically a kidney deficiency in that meridian. The meridian of the kidney is actually— it's in acupuncture. The kidney gives you the essence, your constitution of your body, your mental, everything. You get that from your mama in your womb. And so when your kidney essence is strong, then a lot of times basically you're a strong person physically, not necessarily, but more like physically in, in the sense of, uh, that you don't get easily sick, that you are just much stronger to fight off illnesses. So to be using this then when you're having issues, then it's always good to work on the kidney channel. The kidney channels is well for For women, because it deals with the essence, but it also deals with the reproductive system. So when women start to get in their mid-40s, the kidney meridian starts to kind of diminish. And so we are basically being taught as acupuncturists, at least I was taught that way depending on different schools, that you always need to treat the kidney meridian. Whether people have other issues, treat the kidney meridian to make that essence strong. And particularly on the right side, they call it the life door. On the left side, it's just another part of the meridian, but on the right side it's considered the, um, the life door. So you strengthen that
