It is just mind blowing, this conversation. So let's dive in to welcome to the show returning champion, Niraj Naik.
How you doing?
You got it?
I got it. Right.
Look at that.
You've been practicing it all day.
Practicing for hours.
Great. Yeah. Pleasure to be here, my friend.
Thank you so much for traveling around the world.
Indeed.
To get here.
Yeah. It was a mission, mate. It was worth it.
What was the journey?
It was Thailand to Dubai. Dubai to Ibiza. Ibiza to Austin.
Did you go directly?
No, no. I had to drop off the farm in Ibiza.
I know, but like, you went straight to Austin from Ibiza?
Yeah.
Really? There's a direct flight?
No, direct. No one stop.
Okay.
Okay.
I was gonna say that's pretty amazing.
If they did, that would be super cool. But yeah, not quite yet.
Well, I appreciate. Well, you didn't just come for the interview. You were with us for the Ascension Conference that just happened yesterday. Believe it or not. For people listening, I already just interviewed two other people from the conference on the same day. It's been a pretty long day. But I wanted to get you guys all while you're here.
Nice.
And it was pretty amazing, wasn't it, man?
And it was fantastic. Audience and did a breathwork ceremony for like about 200 odd people. It was great.
Yeah, it was pretty, pretty, pretty amazing. We're going to talk a little bit about what happened to those people when they went through it, but I don't think you've ever done. You told me you never done a conference like that before with a channel and a psychic medium and completely. And like. And Kyle.
Yeah, and Kyle. And Kyle.
He was really on fire.
Oh, man.
He made me laugh a lot, dude.
He was. He's. He's amazing. I absolutely adore Kyle and Shanas as well.
Oh, the whole crew.
Yeah. It was like this beautiful combination. A plethora, if you will.
It was a diverse kind of group of super humans.
Yes.
All getting together.
And my favorite part about it was watching you guys all interact.
Yeah.
Like, it was like these people from different worlds just, you know, talking. Because you. When do you ever run into a Breathwork Master, Let alone a NASA rocket scientist and a channel and a psychic and a comic turned transformational?
You know, it's like everyone's A really good laugh. Like we all had a great laugh. That was the important thing.
Yeah. And that great dinner.
We had that dinner. That's what I mean. With a sushi. That doesn't make sense. It shouldn't be that nice. Vegan sushi should not be. Taste that good, tastes that good. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, I appreciate you coming, man. It was so amazing to see you work in person and that session was pretty freaking intense. So before we go down the breath work world and the healing world of what you can do with your breath, you've got a pretty remarkable story I'd love you to kind of touch on, for people who didn't watch our first episode, kind of touch upon your journey to get to becoming, you know, breathwork master that you are today with Soma Breath.
All right, well, thank you for calling me a breathwork master.
That's my words, not yours.
Great compliment. Yes, yes, I'll take it. Exactly. Nice. Yeah, it's not like something that I ever expected. I'd. I'll do. I was, you know, I'm from England and born to very hard working immigrant Indian parents who, who tried to squash my dreams as a child. You know, I wanted to be a dj. I wanted to be on stage playing gigs. And my mom would always say, no, better, you study, you become pharmacist.
Dr. Pharmacist, something like that.
Right.
So that's what I did. I became a. I mean, I studied to be a pharmacist, but I on the side built my DJ dream as well.
Good for you.
Yeah. And ended up running like some pretty big raves in the UK for about three years when I was 19, this is like 1998 to about 2002 and we had like a 2000 people rave like every month. Packed. That was every month. So it was an amazing experience, but you can imagine it was hedonistic as hell. Like I was wild.
And I went from illegal drug dealer to legal drug dealer basically in a space of like a few months, because I, I had an amazing business, but it all fell apart. Like I just got in with the wrong people.
And in which part? The legal drug dealing or the illegal.
The illegal drug? Of course.
You know, as, as illegal drug deals, dealers go, you know, things go bad.
Yeah, exactly.
If Narco showed us anything.
But it was all about the music and it was like bringing people together as a celebration. It was just. It was love, pure love. Right. So. But then I lost it all and ended up having to fall back on my, my degree.
And your mom was there?
Yeah. My mom's there now saying.
This ridiculous.
Running off to be like me running off to be a filmmaker. Running off to be.
Exactly.
DJ is essentially just running off to the circus.
Yeah, exactly, exactly. So. So I had to like now start totally from scratch, like reinvent myself. And it was seven years of just madness, like, just depression. Like, you know, like, like you've never experienced, you know, not being able to get out of bed, going out every weekend, getting off my face because like, you know, you're downing your stories. Then I realized actually that's what everyone does. They're so depressed with their jobs and especially doctors and pharmacists. So there was this one morning I remember waking up like on a Monday morning, having no idea how I got there in my car. And it was like after a two or three day bender. And I was like, things are going to change. And then a friend of my family took me to a Tony Robbins event. And that was the big wake up. That's where I first found out that you can actually prevent diseases. I was like, wow, this is a revelation. They don't teach you this in pharmacy. So I was, okay, well, I've got a pharmacy full of sick patients. Let me put Tony Robbins to the test. So what I did was I changed their diet, get them off factory based foods, writing shopping lists based on their conditions. So those who took action and made these just simple recipes got better. I was like, wow. Within a few weeks I was like having doctors calling me up going, hey, this is great, keep going. And so I found a new lease of life and it actually got me promoted to head office of one of the biggest supermarket chains in the uk. And now I'm. Well, they actually said to me, like, you know, you're like a renegade pharmacist and we need people like you in this company. So I, I came up with this really cool, healthy shopping list service. It would be like a home shopping, home delivery, you know, getting like really healthy foods to diabetic patients, you know, housebound. And so I thought this was it. And so I made it. This is going to be great. And then boom, six months into it, they called some kind of meeting and shelved the idea. And now I am super depressed. I'm like, I worked so hard to get out of this day job and now I'm having to go back to be a pharmacist. But at the same time, I got hit with an autoimmune disease called ulcerative colitis. And you know when you get your connection broken from spirit that's when diseases usually kicked in. But they usually can also be a gift from the high power as it was for me. And it seemed at the time the worst thing that ever happened to me, but it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Like I, I didn't realize, you know, like much about what it takes to get healthy. All I had been really dabbling in was diet and nutrition. And so I quickly found out that, you know, there's no one size fits all when it comes to your diet. And the things I was trying, like raw veganism and all this stuff were making my symptoms 100 times worse. So it was when I discovered the ayurvedic system where I had a big wake up call. I was like, actually you can choose the right food for your body type, your energy type. Actually it's all down to energy. And you can actually start the healing process just with changing your diet according to who you actually are. And I've ed is a lot about finding out your truth, who you truly are. So what happened was I, I actually was housebound for almost a year, getting blood 40 times a day.
Oh God.
And I lost a third of my body weight and the doctor gave me two choices. It was either have my colon removed, right? So have a colostomy bag. I was only like 33 at this.
Time and that's going to hurt your raving career.
Yeah, well, I had no raving. Trust me, man, the only thing raving was the toilet.
I was on the toilet like 40 times a day. And so.
We'Ll be right back after a word from our sponsor.

And now back to the show.
The other option was be a guinea pig for a drug hasn't even been tested before. So I was like, no way. Like. So I had a dark night of this soul moment, like, and I went really, really down. And there was a. I call it Judgment Day. Is it? I think a lot of people have a judgment day.
Yeah, man.
Where it's like a do or die situation. You know, one decision can completely change the course of your life. You either do or die. And so I prayed. I prayed really deeply. At this point, I was like, why me? What have I done? You know, there's a lot of this coming up. But then they say God stands for gift of desperation. And in my most desperate moment, that's what happened, was a gift from God. Because now, very close friend of family, Swami Ambikananda, she's a yoga teacher in the uk, she came to the rescue. And she said, look, you actually have an amazing gift. Like, with your tenacity, your drive to help people, your background You're a pharmacist. You know, you could actually be an amazing role model if you can turn this around. And the disease can be a gift. She healed herself of cancer and it really helped her as well to become an inspiring leader. So she said, look, I can teach you some of the foundations of our culture. Pranayama, yoga, Ayurveda. And so I let go of my disbelief for a moment and I thought, okay, I'm gonna do this. Like, see, Indian immigrant kids, we reject our culture. Like, we don't think it's cool.
Latinos.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're just like, no, no, no, no.
Yeah, it's not cool, right?
It's not cool. Yeah. My kids still don't, like. Don't like to talk Spanish.
Oh, there you go.
Yeah, they do, but they don't like it.
They don't like it because it's not cool.
But when you're in Spain, it's going to be super cool.
Yeah. Very useful when they come to a B thrower to hang out.
Yes, absolutely.
Yeah. So I.
I had to let go of my disbelief. I had to, like, I had no hope, no other choice. You know, the only hope left was this. So I.
Started to try it as very simple breathing techniques from Pranayama. And it made such a shift. Instant. It was like instant pain relief, like instant stress relief. And I was like, wait a minute. I just did this breathing pattern and it made me feel better than most of the medications I've taken. This is crazy. So within a few months, I just went fully down the rabbit hole. I studied as much as I possibly could, went really deep into the ayurvedic world as well. And then what I realized was, so there was this book that came my way called the power of your subconscious mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy. It was a really good book. He's a pharmacist, but he was also a Christian scientist and studied tantra and yoga and all these ancient Eastern philosophies. So he married the two together and he came up with this concept of scientific prayers, which is the use of these special mantras that you use. Like, my favorite affirmation is, you are, I am whole, perfect, strong, loving, harmonious and happy. And you just say that over and over again in a trance like state. And like, magic happens, right? So I started to get really into the power of this conscious mind. And I realized that with the breath, with certain rhythms, right, you can create into very deep trance states. And then I realized that music can be an amazing tool to facilitate the Whole process.
And then it seems like that other weird carnival thing is going to start coming creeping back in.
Yeah, yeah. So then I, yeah, so then I went full circle. So I was like, wow, I've got new purpose for music. And then I realized that actually in the Vedas, the Vedic lineage, there's a whole book dedicated just to sound mantra music for healing, nada, yoga. So I went really deep into studying all this and all the ancient rhythms and patterns and I found my love for music again, making music. So now I'm making therapeutic music rather than like, you know, the hardcore like dance music. G I H, I still do that though. Yeah.
Neon sticks going, yeah, now we, now.
We do breath raves. You do breath? Yeah, like we're known for breath raise. I went from, you know, full on raves to breath rates.
And now of course those, those breath raves are called breathe or die. Right?
That was a joke.
We're gonna have to breathe or die.
Yeah, or breathe and get high. Oh yeah, exactly.
There's another one.
Yeah, exactly, yeah.
High on your own supply, sir.
High noise supply. Exactly. So, so yeah, so I made this like my own modality eventually which is like a combination of guided hypnotic language which speaks directly to your unconscious mind with this sequence of rhythmic breathing, pranayama techniques with holding your breath. And this is the thing, what I realized was the magic in all of this tantric breathing stuff is a breath hold is your ability to hold your breath. And like the deeper you can hold your breath longer you can hold your breath for around 60 to 90 seconds. Around that time you trigger this state called intermittent hypoxia, which is the lower than normal oxygen level in your blood. And what it does is it basically wakes up like this whole cocktail of feel good positive hormones which I, I say is an acronym for dose, Dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins. Right. And then deeper and deeper doses you get your own live version of dmt. So you get these very deep mystical altered states of consciousness and with the right guided affirmation you can actually.
Totally reprogram the unconscious mind. And what I really, the biggest realization I had was that disease is a result of character, of your core identity.
Becoming disturbed. Right where you've gone off your life path, where and also where your connection to spirit. And if you start identifying as you know, the world is being hopeless. No hope, there's no hope for humanity. The whole the universe is out to get me. I've sinned so hard in the past that, oh that's why I'm getting all this bad luck. If that becomes your default state, you're going to get oppressed. And if you get oppressed, it will affect your breathing and so many different parts of your physiology and you will end up getting a chronic disease like I did. And the healing happens when you wake up, you have an awakening to your true self. You become suddenly super aware of your past and you see it in a new lens, a new perception. And when you can look back and see everything as a gift and a blessing, that's the beginning of when transformation happens. That's what I did. I had to rewire a lot of the past beliefs I had about God, spirit, reality, you know, why me? Why me? Why me? And in the end I was like, thank God me, you know what I mean? Because now I have insight. I have insight of exactly what it takes to get better, which I didn't have as a pharmacist at all, you know, now I suddenly had the real insight of how to help people heal because I went through it myself. So in the end it became the best gift ever in having the disease.
So you were saying that this, this, these techniques can help reprogram the subconscious mind. What do you mean by that? How's, like, how does that technically work? Because for anyone listening going, dude, you're breathing and you're reprogramming your subconscious mind. Like, how the hell is that gonna work?
Great question. Yeah, basically look at Pranayama, like firstly like a library or pharmacy of breathing techniques. So if you want to fix constipation, you can do that. If you want to fix chronic pain, you can do that. Unblock your nose, you can do that. You know, go to sleep, you can do that. Lower your blood pressure, get high, you can do that too, right? So there's many different breathing techniques, then there's sequences of breathing techniques that help strengthen your, your whole hardware. And imagine that your mind is an operating system and your physical body is a hardware and your nervous system, right? And your mind arises, the software rises because of the hardware. And it also, like there's a saying is like, where is your mind? Never mind, no one quite knows, right? But we have different layers of consciousness, right, that we all exist in. And there are these higher states, conscious, these mystical states, consciousness you can turn on through the breath.
We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.

Okay, real talk. I'm about to become a dad again and wow, it hits different the second time. Hi, I'm Umar Valderrama and I've done, you know, I've done the red carpets, the long days on set and all that. But nothing prepares you for that moment when you're building a crib and you realize you're building a future. Familia is everything to me. The laughs, the chaos, the unconditional love, but also the pressure. La respona. If you're stepping into something big right now, starting a family, getting engaged, moving cities, you're not alone. Take one step at a time. Why breathe? Be present and lean into the people. They've got your back. It is fruta like a good neighbor. State Farm is there.

And with breath control techniques, you can get into these psychedelic like states where you start to see yourself in a whole new lens. Just like if you were to take psychedelics and what psychedelics do, like let's say, psilocybin, lsd, ketamine, even Things like that. What they do is they change your, your default mode network and they quieten down areas of the brain associated with ego, right? And it's the ego, that's what gets programmed, right? That's the deep part of you that gets programmed throughout, you know, from early childhood and then different layers of conditioning that happens from school, media, tv, life experiences, relationships, friends and stuff like that. So that creates a sense of self, sense of identity, right? And for some people, it serves them very well. Others, their ego is not serving them like it for me. So, but there is a way we can reprogram that. So, so in order to really, if you want to read me to go, let's go, man.
So in a nutshell, if you think of all to states of consciousness gives you the ability to be your own software programmer, okay? So there is a way to speak to the inner programming, like your inner hardware and software, in a way, using guided imagery, like using the right symbolism, metaphor, analogy, you know, a lot of prayers and stories that, religious stories, they use metaphor analogies. And it's a way to speak to the unconscious mind. The right side of the brain is connected to this, you know, this part. So, so using the right affirmation, right? Coded language, we can reprogram, we can start to reprogram the ego, the sense of self, okay? And it begins as well. What it really helps to understand is how we get programmed because awareness is key, right? If you have awareness of how the mind works and how we've been programmed and how it creates reality, right? And a reality tunnel, which is the way you see the world, your belief system, your bs, right? So this is installed into a very young age when we're.
Well, it begins in the womb, okay? So when we're in the womb, we're totally at the mercy of, of of your mum, your environment and everything. So. But that's when we're really starting to get programmed. And your nervous system forms there. And your nervous system and then your reptilian brain are the first level of programming of your hardware. These are hardwired programs. It's like, you know, when you get a computer, you have the logic board, it's the motherboard, it's those chips hardwired in. So they really create a sense of fixed sense of self, of your ego that can stay with you for most of most, Most people never shift this part of them. But what this does, this part of you, it creates your sense of what's safe and unsafe. It's your unsafe. It's your safety filters, right? How you see the world. Do you see the world where the universe is out to get you, or do you see the. The world where the universe is pure love and, and supports everything that you do? This can be shaped by your experience in the womb and then being born. Right. The first level after that, after the womb, is the birth process itself. Now think about this. How are most people born these days?
Like, oh, C sections.
C sections. Or. Well, usually in a clinical environment.
Oh, completely sterile stuff.
Sterile doctor Staring down your, you know, the canal. That's the first thing you see is. It's like masked human. And then like. Yeah, it's cold. It's cold and horrible. And then you get slapped on the ass. Like, you, You. You get the first thing that happens. You get slapped on the ass. And, you know, that's what gets the. The breathing process going. Actually, what happens why the doctor saps you in the bum is because we sometimes don't breathe, like, straight away. We have to get forced into breathing because we are actually, you know, being like we're surviving based on the mother giving you oxygen. So now we have to fend for ourselves. And the first thing we do is.
When we. We take a deep breath in, right.
And.
And sometimes we hold it in. And that's why the doctor saps your bum, to get the breathing going, the exhale. Right. Now that gasping is what we do when we're scared as well. Fear. Right. So your sense of fear, safety, all of this gets programmed in this first, early imprinting, and then the next thing is then being, you know, nurtured by the mother. So if there's any trauma here, right. In the process of being born and then breastfed by the mother, it can really program you to have, like, a worldview where you don't trust a lot or you have serious anxiety about the future and your mind may be full of worry.
Right.
And this is actually more common than anything. I mean, if you look at, I mean, America, for example, 1 in 5 people on antidepressants and something like, you know, I think 50 to 60% of people who are on antidepressants have addictions and are alcoholics. So why are people doing that? Why are people obsessed with, you know, like, taking substances and stuff? It's. They're dampening this early filter perception because they see the world in a. With fear. The fear response, not love. Right, right. More fear. And if you look at the media, the tv, they're all reinforcing that fear.
Yeah.
And worry and, and, and, and tension. So, so, yeah, people are walking around neurotic, anxious, depressed and like, fearful. And a lot of it I think is down to the way we're born. Like we're born into this world. So I made it really, like with my daughter, I made it, made sure. And we had a home, natural birth. She was born into a, you know, hot tub and it was amazing. And. And, you know, there's been a lot of studies now showing that these early traumas, this birth trauma really plays on the psyche.
Really?
Yeah, it has more impact than we think. Stanislav Grof actually did a lot of studies on this and birth trauma.
The way. The way of the second.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Great, great documentaries. So, yeah, there's a lot of field of research now going into understanding the birth process and birth trauma.
So then. So how does breath allow you to reprogram it?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's the first level. The second level of programming is when.
We start to walk, crawl around or walk. For the first, we're toddlers. It's the toddler stage. And this creates our sense of what's mine, what's yours. Right. And. And territory. Okay. And emo, you start to learn about emotion and significance and all of this. And so these first two levels, Right.
Are the most fixed, hardwired programs and circuits in your motherboard. Right. And they're very hard to shift. So only certain psychedelics and practices have been shown to actually allow you to clear the trauma in these early imprints. So psilocybin, mdma, they're used.
Clinically now and shown loads of promise to.
Help people with severe depression. And severe depression is the result of programming that's gone wrong in the first two imprints.
And also ptsd.
Yeah.
As well. A lot of veterans who've done that as well. Yeah.
And a lot of that's pro. Is based on these early programs. Right.
And trauma.
Yeah, and trauma. Yeah, trauma in these early imprints. This, and this is usually happening in the first seven kind of years of your life. So what they found was what makes the psychedelic experience even more potent is the mystical experience. If. If you have a mystical, like, experience where you feel like you've been touched by something beyond yourself, like you've had a conversation with God. And it's some. It's kind of an experience which you can't even put into words. It's like, you know, English language doesn't do it justice. These profound experiences that bring us back to spirit coming. Connection to spirit, makes us believe in something beyond ourselves, are shown to be the most transformative and what actually gets us there in a much more controlled way than psychedelics does is breath work.
So before we go down that road, from what I understand, psychedelics is, I've never taken it, but I love quoting Guru Nas. Gurudev. Gurudev who came on the show and I brought this idea of like psychedelics to finding enlightenment essentially. And he's like, well, it's.
Taking a psychedelic ayahuasca, anything like that. It's kind of like taking a sledgehammer to the wall to make, to see the, to see the outside. He goes, meditation is like putting in a window.
Yeah.
Isn't that beautiful?
I like it.
Isn't that beautiful? So it sounds like the same thing is here. Psychedelics is pretty much like a rocket ship. Like you don't really have any. It's a, it's a runaway train. There's no control, no nothing.
You need a good therapist to do it.
Yeah. And you need someone to kind of like guide you through it. But it's, it's a rocket ship and really don't know what's going to happen. True. And there's no control.
No control.
No.
Once you go on the trip, you're off 100%. So with the breathing, you're saying it's much more controlled environment where you could stop things like. So explain it. We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.

And now back to the show.
We have these four levels of consciousness that creates our sense of self. The first two I just talked to you about. The third one is when you learn language, reason you go to school. Religion has a big part to play here. And then the fourth one is when you have. Go through puberty and have orgasms and fun times. Yeah, Oxytocin. Oxytocin changes neuroplasticity more than any other substance.
And where do you get oxytocin?
So actually, when you're in the mother's womb and then when you were born.
That first hit of connection with your mum, massive amounts of oxytocin. In fact, oxytocin is what induces labor in the first place, is that's why they give it sometimes to induce labor, like as an injection. But we naturally do, you know, so. But women make the most of it when it's. It's the bonding hormone, right. But is also what turns on neuroplasticity. Changes the brain. Okay. Faster than anything else. In fact, if you want to, like, change your brain, like, and you're hard, you're harder.
Yeah, yeah.
Like you want to, like. If you're into law of attraction and manifesting, do it after 20 orgasms in a row, right? That's the ultimate state of being, Sir.
Sir, I've lived on this earth many days and I've never had 20 orgasms in one day. Sir, I think I've tried, especially when I was a teenager.
Yeah, audio breath work. So, okay, tell me. Yeah, so with breathwork we can like just rhythmic breathing, breathing in a rhythm, perfect rhythm. If we do it together in unison with each other.
Yeah.
You produce oxytocin. It creates rapport, a bond, and it's a social hormone. It's like it creates connection. Oxytocin.
Okay.
Right. Now what they found though is, is connection to neurogenesis, neuroplasticity. So like with a special rhythmic breathing protocol followed by holding a breath, and when you get to around to 69 seconds breath hold time, we create what we call the soma within. And soma within is this dose I was talking about dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins, and this like cascade of neurotransmitters. When you, like at the end of like our sequence, you breathe in.
And.
You hold your breath in and you send the cerebral spinal fluid up. This dose goes up into the brain, right? And it turns on neuroplasticity. Now as I was saying, the hardware is what we need to shift. Okay, so, so when you create a powerful intention with this dose, especially high oxytocin, we can invoke direct to neurogenesis, where we change the brain on command according to will. If you think about it like your outer world is a reflection of what's going on here. The inner world and your is a mirror of your entire nervous system, okay. And all the information, you know, the memories contained in your brain. So like that's, that's this 3D dimension I'm talking about. But, so that's one layer is where we can use power of intention with invoking this cocktail neurotransmitters to go in and reprogram. Like a software programmer, right? But then there's higher levels. So the higher levels of consciousness, they come from more advanced breath work practices where we get into the fifth circuit, which is bliss, the sixth, which is the intuition circuit. Third eye activation, you may have heard of third eye activation techniques. So yeah, with these practicing into third eye, like more DMT like experiences. And then the seventh is where we get into the meta programming circuit. And this meta programming conscious state is where you can wipe the clean the slate clean. It's like doing like a big dose of DMT so we can tap into these conscious states. And then the 8th is like doing ketamine, which is you go into non local states of consciousness, like astral realm. Yeah, astral realms. And so the seventh is where you have the. You start to tap into the collective consciousness of everything that exists. Carl Jung talks about this, the collective consciousness where you get divine downloads. And you know, like as an artist, yeah, they kind of naturally tune in. As a musician, I tune into the ether all the time, but we can get into these very trippy states where we feel like we're getting divine downloads all the time. But then there's higher states. This 8th, 7th and 8th is where we start to get the connection to God, universe, spirit, whatever you want to call it. High power. And you've, you can tap into a source of healing, like energy that's from something beyond yourself that helps to clear you of all the negativity that you've built up over time. And it really helps to reformat the drive to defrag it and to reprogram it how you want. So what we teach in so many breath now is how to tap into these older states of consciousness in order to reprogram these first four levels of programming that creates your sense of identity. And what happened was it actually attracted Cambridge University. So yeah, there's another thing my mum said, like you study very hard, you go to Cambridge, but actually, sir, that's.
Racist that you're doing that in depression. I'm joking.
I know, but I'm allowed, right? I have permission.
Just like I could talk, like I.
Could talk like Martin.
We were allowed, really, to make fun of us?
Yes, we are allowed to make fun of it.
No problem. So. So they came and they.
Did a study on my 21 Day Awakening Journey. The 21 Day Awakened Journey is designed in 21 days, step by step, to take you through all these higher states of consciousness to the non local one at the end where you safely and it's all guided through, through an instructor, get into these super cosmic conscious states which allows you to wipe the slate clean.
Right?
Reprogram yourself and to really learn about who you truly are and to step back into your truth and to really start to live life based on your truth rather than some false belief system that's been built up over time which made you sick in the first place. Right? And you know, I believe in models of reality. There's so many different ways to explain reality, you know, different levels, you know, different ways to talk about how we hear why we're here, the meaning of life. Religion is One model of Rally, I like the simulation theory that you know this is a game, there's a spirit. Yeah. And so the breath in my, my opinion is the remote control for your mind, body and spirit. And when you understand the breath code and how to use it, you can start to hack reality. And if you think about it, the first four levels of programming creates the perception field how you see reality. Right now you can only tune into so much of reality at any one time. Right. So that's why we have these reality tunnels where for some people it's very narrow, they see a very narrow rigid worldview. But if you want to expand that reality tunnel and to start seeing see into all other people's realities and learn from them and expand your model of reality, the breath is an amazing way. It's like a code, it's a hack, it's like a cheat sheet. Forget into these super high and sense consciousness which gives you that insight and it allows you to start to reprogram the perception filters. I mean your belief systems like if you're like a very insecure person with lacks lack self esteem and confidence, you can program self confidence. If you're somebody who can't let go of the past, let's say you've held on to, you know, blame. Maybe you had a business and you lost everything and it's all your fault and people are dependent, you can never get out of it and it's just ruminating thoughts. You know, some people go and do psychedelics get a lot of benefits. Now breath work is what Cambridge University showed in scientific study to be just as effective. They found that our protocol was just as effective of turning on these psychedelic bliss, heightened bliss states, these orgasmic like states.
Just with breathing, music, guided meditation. Just as profoundly as a dose of like psilocybin or NDMA used to treat severe depression.
Really?
Yeah. And we can just do this ourselves. So I produced this, I created this technology.
We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.

And we train instructors. They teach it in group workshops, classes, one on one. But also you can do it yourself. You can take it home. We have an app and you can get access to push button bliss.
Just from your app now, which is amazing technology.
That's remarkable. So when we were doing the conference and you did your session, you did a four cycle breath session. It was about 45 minutes if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, there were people having absolute awakenings. Absolute. Not only spiritual awakenings, they were having bliss. They were out of body. They were having almost near death.
Experiences.
Near death experiences on common With.
With breath.
And I think this is what it does, this is how it works. So as I was saying, you hold your breath for such a long time. Right. You're lowering the oxygen level in your bloodstream. Okay. And it tricks your brain in thinking it's dead. That's how it works. Like so. So there's two ways of doing this. So the holotropic breath work, which Stanislav Grof made very famous, involves a lot of hyperventilation. Like an hour, two hours of just fast breathing.
I did it for 40 minutes.
And how was that? Intense.
Yeah, I did it for 40 minutes, just breathing out of my mouth. It was all mouth. Yeah, all mouth. Really heavy.
Yeah.
For 40 minutes.
Guided. Guided.
Someone was guiding me through it and they were creating the beat so you stay in rhythm and all that stuff. And all of a sudden I started to feel like.
The energy of my. I had my body. I was laying on the floor and my body was like that. I started feeling like my energy just start to roll in.
Yes.
To my body. My hands and arms started to go cold. It was crazy.
Yes.
Started coming in.
Vasa constriction.
Right. It just started to all go in and I could feel like, literally it crawling almost to my. My body. So all the blood, I guess, was rushing into my internal body and my brain.
Yep.
And it was just psych. It was really psychedelic. I mean, I didn't. At least for me in that session, I didn't go anywhere. I didn't, you know, didn't have that kind of thing. But what did happen is after that session, my meditations changed.
Oh, wow.
All of a sudden in my meditations, things were wide open.
Wow.
I started seeing things, visions, ideas, like so much. It was distinctly different after doing that.
Yeah. You change your perception fillers.
Yeah. It was like my. My meditations change and to this day, like energy. Other things that happened to me in my meditations all started to.
Yeah.
Open up doing it. It's pretty. It was pretty remarkable. So I know exactly that technique, but I can't even imagine two hours. Like, my mouth was so dry.
Yeah.
I was like, so dry. My lips were about to come off. Like it was all day. But it was. It was pretty life altering. I can imagine an hour to two hours of that is intense. I mean, you're going. You're going somewhere.
So the way that works, I think, is what. What it does is it hyperventilation. It. It changes the PH of your blood and it makes it slightly more alkaline, triggers something called respiratory alkalosis. Is actually something your body doesn't want because your blood is always trying to maintain a certain pH, around 7.83. And if it goes off any degree too long, you die. Right. But what you're doing, the hyperventilation is in a controlled way, triggering respiratory alkalosis. And what it does is it actually suppresses oxygen to certain areas of the brain that deal with consciousness. And then you go into an other than conscious state. And what it does is it takes you back into the earliest imprint, the womb imprint, the birth imprint. And then so the deeper practice, if you go beyond 40 minutes, those deep, deep, deep holotropic like experiences will, for some people, they'll relive the birth process itself and they'll have extremely profound, mystical like experiences if it's hit in a, in a held space, in a well, well held spouse. Now what we do is so in breath though it's more focused on the tantric methods is a combination of rhythmic breathing. You're breathing in a perfect rhythm with music, which when you breathe in a perfect rhythm, you trigger this oxytocin. So what I'm taking people into is more of this bliss like experiences. And so the protocol of rhythmic breathing followed by holding your breath, because a period of rhythmic breathing, you breathe out CO2. CO2 is what tells your brain you need to inhale. So if you have less CO2 in your body, you can hold your breath for much longer because your brain's not being told to inhale. So then when you get into these breath hold states where you're holding your breath two to three times longer than you normally could.
Right?
Normally most people breathe in and out, they'll hold their breath about 30 seconds. We're holding our breath for two minutes, two and a half, three minutes. I can go beyond four minutes now with a bit of practice. When you get to that state, pausing your breath for that long, think of life as a series of inhales and exhales. When you press pause on your breath, you press pause on life.
Yeah.
So your thoughts is a direct result of breathing. When you breathe fast, you start to get erratic thoughts. When you breathe slow or calm, you get calm thoughts. It calms everything down. If you pause your breath for a long period, it's like pressing pause on reality. It's what happens. And if you go deep enough, you get this huge awakening of this endogenous dmt, because DMT has been shown to be utilized by cells when the oxygen levels are low. And then the other thing that wakes up is stem cells Endogenous stem cells, where you get a lot of healing from this, because stem cells hate oxygen. So when you lower the oxygen for a brief period, stem cells come out to play. And then also these positive tryptamines which make us trip out when we breathe in the final. You know, in that sequence, what we did, you breathe in at the end.
And you hold your breath in and you send the energy up and you, you get this like electric current. It feels like a charge of electricity. Boom. Up into the third eye. Boom. And you have this like huge white light, like experience.
Yesterday there was a woman, a friend of ours, who was going through your breath. Yeah, Breath session. And on the third cycle she started to see lights, like sparkling lights. On the fourth cycle, she went into a grand ballroom and saw nothing but lights.
There we go.
And it was like, it was basically an nde. It is, it's a near death experience.
That's it. And because just think, you're holding your breath for so long, you're tricking the brain thing and it's dying. It's just a trick. It's not actually dying. And this is what the mystics used to do. They used to experiment with their breath to get into NDE like states. Because, like, have you, I don't know if you ever done ayahuasca?
No.
So when I did ayahuasca was one of the most profound mystical experiences I've ever had. Oh, I'm sure it was mind blowingly incredible. And it was my confirmation there's a spirit world, right? And like this Snow White, it was like Snow White came down with all these dwarfs who were healing me from within. And it was very suck then she was telling me the meaning of life and everything and purpose. But I kept asking questions, questions. And it's like you become the observer and you see this conversation going on between your ego and this entity. And it's going on, you're observing it and it's like a mood, it's like a cinema. It's so hard to explain what's going on. And basically I kept asking like, so, well, what's the point of all this? And if that's. This is how it's all meant to be and everyone's connected, but what's the point? Who made this? Like what, what's their point? And who created them? I kept asking all these curious questions and she says, you don't need to know this. Your purpose is to live.
Right?
And then in the end, I got so frustrated. I remember seeing this whole thing, she was like, okay, I'll show you. And now I start to rise out of my body and I'm heading towards the white light tunnel. There's angels saying come to me. And it's just, it was super trippy. And I'm like going up and up and up and up and I'm about to like go somewhere, right. Which is definitely not planet Earth. And I realize now I actually am about to die. Like actually die. And at that point the terror hit me so hard, like the fear of actually dying, I just came crashing back, puked up. And then the angel comes back and is like, told you. So you're not ready yet to know because the only way to really know everything like that, the ultimate answers to all the questions is to actually die for real.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So the mystics, I think have been experimenting with dying while still conscious for that's. I think a lot of religion's been based on that either. Using entheogens, breath work, advanced yogic practices, burying themselves, all these kinds of to get into nd like states.

Hey, Bowen.

But I was like, well, like, I mean, there's a lot of benefits in this, but it can also be quite scary. But what if we can get close to it without too going too extreme? And because I, I really start to love the altered states you can enter with the breath. So that's what led to creating so breath. Because I wanted to give people a method to tap into these water states consciousness without having to take substances they can do anywhere, right. Even for themselves. Or go very deep with an instructor where I can help people to wake up with a breath. Right. And also to really step into their truth. I really, I have this thing is like, my mission is to make people naturally high, happy, healthy, right? And I think when you get, when a lot of people, I've heard them on your podcast, when they have an nd experience, they have a new love for life.
Absolutely.
And sudden, it changes them. Gratitude for life again. They fall in love with life again. So my mission is I want to make people naturally high, happy and healthy who have fallen in love with life again. And I think what we've done with the breath is the closest you can get to a method which works like a medicine, you know, like a pillow without side effects. And because it's the miserable people who go out and make the world a miserable place, I was one of those people, right? And so anything we can do to help people to be naturally happy, right? To step into their truth, to live by their actual truth, the better. And so that's the mission. I'm on now.
So this, this near death experience that you can. Near death like experience, essentially you're being able to trigger an NDE at will. Essentially you're gonna have an ND every day. I mean would you recommend that? Not probably.
I think so. I don't recommend like, it's like doing any, any psychedelics you're not going to do every day. Heroic dose of mushrooms every day. Right.
Once a week, once a month.
Yeah. So there's advanced breath practices that are like doing heroic dose of mushrooms or ayahuasca. Now that's for special ceremonies. We, we make these very mystical like experience ceremonies that I do at my retreats where people, they feel like they've had a conversation with God.
Yeah.
Super profound experiences. But that's reserved for that experience. And you know, the mystical experience has been shown in various studies now is confirmed to be the most transformative. If you have a mixed mystical like experience, it's usually what lasts the most in terms of transformation. But so I wanted to make something that's kind of an intermediate step. So we have a pharmacy of techniques but we also have these more intermediate light sessions that this is what camera showed. In 22 minutes we can get the same insights and create a mystical like experience. Right. As a dose of like psilocybin or MDMA just in 22 minute breath protocol. But at the end of it you're great, you can go on and get on with your day. In fact, you'll be more productive, more hangovers, more creative. No hangovers. That's it.
So are there any dangers or warnings before doing this kind of breath work? Because it seems like it's intense and there probably is. I remember you saying a couple of things to people in the audience. If you have this, this, this and this, please take it easy than this. Check it out. So what are those kind of like.
Yeah, warning. So the more advanced type breath work experiences, like there's holotropic, there's rebirthing, they're quite famous ones. And then there's our summer breath kevala techniques. So in the, this tantric yogic practice, the techniques that involves like a lot of rhythmic fast breathing for long periods is called keval. It takes you into that samadhi blister state. Now these.
Should be done firstly with a guide. And if you have very high blood pressure, if you've had a heart attack, for example, avoid it because any form of hyperventilation, it's suppressing oxygen, it raises your blood pressure a little bit and so that can be caused a Concern for some rare groups of patients, not very few people are going to say suffer. But then like if you're pregnant, for example, if you've got epilepsy, you know, you have to be careful. That's why we train instructors to hold the space in a professional way. But the, the daily doses, I call them daily doses which are designed to do, you know, every day. These are very safe for pretty much everybody. And you know, as long as you don't like force the breath holds for too, too long like and you do in a safe space, you don't pass out. For example, most people, you know, if you've got a pair of lungs and a beating heart, you can do it. You can, you can.
If you're pregnant, take it easy.
Pregnant, take it easy. But even that like doctors have argued me saying actually we shouldn't contraindicate pregnancy because actually the, the baby in the womb is in a very low oxygen environment. Oxygen level is extremely low there. Right. So the baby doesn't get harmed really. It's more for the mom.
Interesting.
Yeah.
So with the near death experience like in the psychedelic experiences, what's the, what's the most incredible stories you've kind of come across in the mystical side of things?
Oh w. So, so there's been a few moments that have been like proof points to me where I know something.
Like spirit, something high, higher has come into our presence. So one of the first times was with my close friend Wim Hof.
Yes.
And it was at his house. So, so we. I made the music of the Wim Hof method. And I remember like I had was telling him, well, I was telling my friend about the Soma legend, the legend of soma which is actually where all this stuff comes from. So in the Rig Veda thousand years ago, there was this legend about this substance entheogen called soma. Nobody knows quite what it was, was ayahuasca or mushrooms or cannabis or whatever. But the soma runs out and, and the gods freak out because they're all addicted because it makes you immortal taking the stuff. So they all freak out. So they're like, we have to figure out to create from within. And that Crane, the Soma from within was the origin of tantric yoga. So that's why, hence the name Soma breath, because it's all about, it's the breath method of creating the Soma from within. Right. So I was talking all about this and then I stepped out into Whim's garden and suddenly I saw for the first time Amanita the red and white toadstool mushrooms growing all over his garden. I was like, what's going on? This just suddenly appeared and we're just talking about Soma because one of the big theories of what's the original soma is amanita. So you know, the famous red, white toadstools and all the fairy tales. So I grabbed one, I was like, I gotta, me and Wim, we gotta do it. So I went over to him, I was like, wim.
This is the soma. He goes, yeah. I said, should we do something? He goes, we don't need it. Let's do it with the breath. So then we, he, he got a shamanic drum and started to go around the room like chanting like a native shaman. And then I'm doing this breath work technique and we were doing a lot of experiments in breath. I should just write a book on that. All our experiments in breath. His place. And I put on our soundtrack and he's being the drum and, and for one and a half hours.
Full power, like holotropic, like breathing went into the most transcendental experience of my life. It was just mind blowing, cosmic, full on conversations with the divine God spirit. And it kind of told the future of like what was going to happen with me and women. And then the Wim Hof, you know, Wim wasn't that famous yet suddenly that week gets invited to la. Joe Rogan, Oprah, all this and he just blows up. And then I, you know, I became his right man for a bit and we. And then, then eventually I created so breath and that turned to a huge thing and the breath suddenly exploded and Covid happened. A lot of things start to unfold from that moment. And then so I started to go traveling like around Asia. And the next proof point came.
Was.
When I officially decided I'm going to call Mukham Soma breath. And I went to Bali and in Bali.
I start to do these crazy ice bath stuff, like 30, 35 minutes in the ice buff. Just show people the power of what's possible, the whim.
Like what win?
Yeah, yeah. After being with him. So.
Then I started to do these experiments with breath with my music. And so I, I have this pranayama protocol with using the tantric energy locks. So I started to do that with groups. And there's one group, this was like the first, this was actually the first official kind of Soma breath. I called it so breath. First time experience. And it happened to be 11 people, my mystical number. 11 people showed up. My spiritual number is 1111. And so we had 11 people and we went super deep, like next level, like full power. And at the end of it, this guy comes up and he comes over to me and he just gives me the biggest hug ever.

And now back to the show.
And it turns out that his, he's a son of a preacher. His parents are both like priests and preachers. And so we made him an atheist. He just had no, I don't want to have anything to do with it. No proof in God at all and no belief in God. And. But he came with the intention that he wanted to have a spiritual experience so he could fix, heal his relationship with his parents. And what happens? Like he said he had a full on cosmic experience conversation with God the most, he said it was the most divine experience he's ever had. Right. And so he was crying, crying at the end of it. And then he goes to me like, you know, like, so basically I said, so you gotta, you gotta tell me a story of what happened. He goes, I'm gonna, I'm gonna record it. And what happened was he records a testimonial, uploads it, testimonial comes exactly to 11 minutes, 11 seconds exactly on the dot. And then we met up like later on and he wanted me to show him some icepower stuff. And he goes, you won't believe this, like your story about 1111, the spiritual number that follows me around. Like it reminded me that my first company in Bali was 1111 Surfboards. And he comes up to me, he gives me a T shirt, 1111 surfboards. And so all these like weird like synchronicities start happening. And it just, one thing after another just proved to me that there is some spiritual force out there. And then the next one after that that came was a darkness retreat where I spent seven days, seven nights in complete darkness.
That must be insane.
Yeah. So what happened was after whim, I started to live with all these Tantrikas and went really deep into the tantric breath, Tantric yoga, and really going deep into my own culture, the mystical traditions. And my friend Shashi, she's an amazing tantra teacher and she holds these darkness retreats. So she invited me to go. And just before I went in, I had a relapse of the ulcerative colitis for the first time in years. And I said to her, I don't think I can do this. I just had a relapse of colitis, I'm shooting blood now. She goes, this is a ghost apparition of this condition for you to clear it once and for in the dark. And then literally I was like, all right, well, she said it was so much conviction. Let's go. So I went in the first two days of complete hell.
Yeah.
And, and then what happens is. So then we're doing this super advanced breath practices. A lot of these techniques are in the same breath now. Very advanced tantric breathing protocols. And in two to three days in the dark, your brain thinks it's dying. You have an nd you have like an ND and it's such high amounts of melatonin producing and, and triptin tryptamines that you start to really lucid dream and hallucinate and go into these altered states and your life starts to unfold in front of you. Just like a people have a life review. Yeah. But it's slower. So your life starts off, all of the problems you've had in the past karmically start to unfold and appear in front of you and stuff that I hadn't worked with yet. And I'm with kimonos of the breath. Well, you get in such profound states that I was able to start to really heal the past like never before. And literally I went from bad to worse to like 30, 40 times. Going to the toilet in complete darkness. So you have to, have to get to the toilet with ropes and if you miss your footing, it's like you're lost.
Yeah.
It's just insane.
Yeah. Because you can't, your eyes won't adjust because pitch dark, pitch pitch dark, there's no light.
But somehow you get through it and it comes through. And then the last few days, like then you start to really change your perception of everything. And you forgiveness like you've, you can never imagine, you know, like most powerful profound forgiveness rituals just happening by itself. Like, you know, just without any conscious effort. And then within after seven half days, you know, when we came out, I was like a whole new person and the symptoms disappeared and I've been in remission since. Not a single symptom since, so. And it there, it felt like I was having conversation, defined conversations with God every day. And from that point on, I, I is when summer breath just boom, skyrocketed. Everything just unfolded.
Is, is we have a book on next level Soul tv. Along with your amazing course Breath Works, we're going to change it to Breath or die. Breath or die.
But we have a book, an old book called Yogic Science of Breath.
Yeah, it's great.
You know that book, right?
Yeah. Yeah.
It's an amazing book, isn't it?
Yeah.
It really goes deep down into a lot of the practices.
Yes.
Through an ancient. Through the ancient way. Is breath work.
Is breathwork one of the key elements to our awakening? It can be. Or is it just another. It's another tool.
It's a tool. I think the good thing with. About it, with the breath is that we can never run out of it. We've always got it.
And when you do run out, you don't have anything else to worry about.
Nothing else. That's it.
So. But the breath is. Yeah, it's a powerful tool for awakening, but there's so much else you can do with the breath in terms of. It gives you direct connection to the autonomic nervous system, so you can control your physiology, your blood pressure, body temperature. You know, it's a pharmacy. And with breath control techniques, with exercise, you can increase your physical strength, stamina. You enter these superhuman abilities of strength, stamina, withstanding temperatures and endurance and powerful stuff. But then you can also use it to get out of your mind and get really high on your own supply. So there's so many things you can do with the breath. And it's. It's fascinating. And it's like, it's. It should be taught to every single child at school because I think that with breath control, first, if you learn the art of breath control, like, we're not going to be so dependent on medications, and we're also going to have an ability to tap into bliss on command, so we don't have to be so obsessed with external stuff to make herself feel happy. If you think about all the big problems in the world, it's over consumption, it's depression, it's people hooked on drugs and recreational drugs and prescription meds. And, you know, the fourth killer in the world is adverse drug reactions. So anything we can do to prevent getting onto medications, the better. Right. And breath is one of the most incredible things. I think everyone should learn to prevent that.
So what do you tell somebody who is listening to this conversation and go, this is ridiculous. I breathe every day and I don't get psychedelic experiences, you know, for. For the. The person who's having trouble wrapping their head around what you've said, what can you tell them to just go, you know, give it a shot?
Well, you know, it's one of those things. It's like, it's much easier to experience, like, the benefits of by doing it than to try.
And it doesn't try.
It doesn't hurt. Yeah. And you could just like, you know, take like, in our breathworks course, there's a track on there like in 11 minutes you can have this, the feeling like bliss that you've never, you can't even comprehend. It's there in just a few minutes. Right, so go and test it out. And then we have our app, the Song Breath app. There's a whole range of different breathing channels to, to play around with. So it doesn't take long, it doesn't take much effort. It's very inexpensive. You're not, you don't have to go out of your mind. You can still be very deep in your body. If you love meditation, then breath takes meditation to another level. It does, it makes it easier, makes it more of something that you look forward to doing. And, and the breath is a meditate form of meditation, of course. So, so yeah, and the science is out there. Like look at our studies with Cambridge, check out the papers, do your own research. There's so much amazing like knowledge out there that already exists. You know, there's so much studies on just the breath on blood pressure, for example.
Well, I saw you last time when you were on the show, you actually put your, your heart monitor on and you brought your heart rate down. Yeah, in the 30s.
It was my little party trick.
Yeah, yeah, it's a party trick.
Broke your machine.
Yeah, you're just like, you just did it like on demand.
Yeah, it was pretty crazy. That just shows you how we can calm down on command.
So what do they say when you're, when you're really excited or you need to calm down, what do you do? Take a deep breath.
Yeah, it's actually, that's incorrect. So deep breathing. So deep breathing, it has two different ways you can perceive it. So the way a lot of people think of deep breathing is quite big lungfuls of air. And if you take big heavy breaths, you hyperventilate and that's not going to make you feel calm, it makes you feel the opposite. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, but deep breathing into the diaphragm or down deep down here, slow.
Diaphragmatic breathing is what calms us down. It's where our parasympathetic nervous receptors are, which calms us down. So deep in that context is good. But actually if you want to get calm, you breathe like someone who's calm because your breath is a mirror of your mind. Your mind is a mirror of your breath.
So we'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.

And now back to the show.
When you're like, stressed out nervous, observe someone's or even your own breathing. When you're nervous or anxious, you're finding it becomes faster, more erratic, frantic. And if you look at someone who's really calm, they hardly look. They're breathing at all. Lao Tzu says the perfect human breath are not breathing at all. So you can tell when someone's really, you know, works on themselves and, and they're in a very calm, peaceful state. They hardly let that breathing. Right, right.
We've been talking about breath, but I'm not even thinking about breathing. I do short little breaths.
Yeah, that's all you need.
Nothing crazy.
We don't need deep heavy breaths, but the deep heavy breathing is reserved for this auto states of consciousness type stuff. But also sex can be super enhanced with the breath and breath control.
Well now you just, you just dropped that bomb. Let's go down that road for a second. How can orgasms be better with the breath.
Yeah. Great. So while you're doing it.
Yeah, hold on, baby.
Yeah.
It just sounds like you're out of breath.
Exactly. But so when we, when we, when we make a physiological sight like a.
That blissful.
Down. Right when we. So I call it the bliss pump. When we breathe in through our sphincter and contract up the sphincter and they're go.
And we do that over and over, it's like almost like a simulating sex. And that's what starts to wake up the, the dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins that dose right now with love. Like tantric lovemaking, when you are eye to eye, your partner and you breathe slow, rhythmic breaths together, very slow, connected to the eyes, you produce massive amounts of oxytocin and your heart just warms it. You get filled with love. So rather than this wham, bam, thank you ma' am type sex, we're extending the whole process of lovemaking. And so it starts with slow rhythmic breathing, just very conscious, connected breathing into someone's eyes, making a connection. The heart rhythms sync up. You get into this coherent state with the chero and it produces incredible amounts of this love hormone, oxytocin. So it starts like that and then like. So there's stuff with the, the breath that I haven't even shared yet about the left nostril. Right nostril.
Yeah.
That's what we're going to do.
We'll go into the course.
Yeah. So what, what you need to do is your, your, your hemispheres for men, your left, your right. So your right nostril needs to be more dominant than your left. There's a ways to switch it. And for women, the left nostril needs to be more dominant than right. And then you create complete polarity between Shiva Shakti. Right. Because the right Nostril is the left brain, is your sympathetic nervous system. You, your left nostril, your right brain is connected to your right brain, is your parasympathetic nervous system, the feminine brain. So the women need to be in their feminine, the men need to be in the masculine. And then you have this polar collection. So you do this rhythm of breathing, you're in this divine connection in polarity, then you build up the rhythm. And what the idea is that when you get to that moment of orgasm, the man should be like Shiva, very still. Okay. The woman should be on top and you breathe in.
And you hold your breath in, hold your breath in contracting up the sphincter whilst the woman's slow moving up and down. She can be breathing, but you're holding your breath. And the longer and longer you can hold your breath, the more you get into this cosmic blister state. And it, as I said, it's the soma within. When we get to 60 to 90 second breath holds with that raise of the orgasmic feeling, the oxytocin, all of those feel good transmitters, we get into these cosmic conscious states. It's like better than psychedelics, it's mind blowing. And when you both do it together at the same intention, the same vision of the reality you want to create together as a couple, that conscious connection that, that, that, that bond through the oxytocin, it changes the brain to the, to match the reality that you want to manifest. And that is the process of sex magic. This is a sex magic ritual. So you do protocol of rhythmic breathing, slow rhythmic breathing, faster. And then like making these physiological sounds and size blissful tones. And then holding. The man holds the breath on the inhale and this prolonged no breath state at the moment of orgasm. If you can hold that orgasmic state for like 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, the longer you can hold it, the more and more you go into cosmic consciousness. And that's where you can have the most profound spiritual experiences.
Well.
You'Re gonna go home and practice that now.
Well, obviously that's amazing.
Yeah, I've done a little bit of the course because of the course that's on Next Level Soul tv. It's very popular. People really like it. And they also like your meditations that you have on Next Level Soul tv. The Soma, the Soma breath meditations. So I suggest everybody go the Next Level Soul TV and try the courses.
Yeah.
As well. I'm going to ask you a few questions. I ask all my guests, sir, what is your definition of living A fulfilled life.
The definition of living a fulfilled life, in my opinion, is when you. Because it's. Life's a quest of discovering who you truly are. And when you find. And it's always going to change. But when you really find that truth, right, that's when you start to feel fulfilled in life because you realize that your truth now is contribution. And when you start to find a way to match your passion with a way of making an income, with giving back. And if you get that sweet spot where all of that comes together, you feel fulfilled. Like you wake up saying, I love my life every day. You need to find that one thing that makes you enthusiastic. To get out of bed every day, do a hard day's work.
If you had a chance to go back in time and speak to little Naj, what would you, would you tell him?
I would just say like, all is well, like, no need to worry. The future's bright.
Nice. How do you define God or Source?
I think this is it.
All of us, Everything.
This is it. Everything that exists right now, here and now, in this moment.
What is love?
Love is level of vibrational energy. L, O V E. So there's no love, no love for anything. Yourself. That's apathy, depression. It's like the zero devoid of love. And then there's full of love. Love for all, which is where you. You've made peace with everything. And that's that state of peace, Equinox. You know, you can accept the world as it is. You don't worry about politics and.
Why this and why that and the past. And you don't blame anymore and you don't blame yourself. And when you can get to that state, you're full of love for everything. I'm absolutely in love with life. So I try to get as close to that as I can. I try to operate that place of joy, like find something to really enjoy every day. And like having a family, having a baby, like having a daughter, you know, just seeing that connection and having a loving partner and striving for that and. And falling in love with someone and that, that to me is what life's about now is like really just enjoying family, you know, because you can get everything you need from, from that.
If you could ask God or Source one question, what would it be?
Maybe.
I wouldn't.
You wouldn't ask him?
I like the surprises.
Okay, fair enough, fair enough.
I like. I'm always asking something, whether you call it God or high power or anything, you know, I'm always looking for some kind of like inspiration, you know, like so, you know, I would love to download like the hits, musical hits so I can make a few, like big, big songs, you know, timeless classics. But that's happening anyway. It's starting to happen anyways, like, because music's my passion. And through Soma Breath we have an amazing vehicle for music. So, you know, for me, God is. And music is everything.
It's really interesting, man, that our, our paths are, are similar in many ways. Because you have a passion for music, I have a passion for filmmaking. You, you built a company that allows you to bring in your music on your terms.
Yep.
To do it the way you want to. You're mixing the love of spirituality, the love of helping people, all of that with Soma Breath. But bringing in your music. And I've created Next Level Soul and now Next Level Soul TV and bringing in my filmmaking and now creating that synergy of spirituality and filmmaking. So I was able to bring back my passion for filmmaking by doing this work. It's pretty when you're saying, I'm like, dude, it's exactly what.
Yeah, we're very blessed.
Very, very blessed, man. And finally, what is the ultimate purpose of life?
We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.

And now back to the show.
I think the ultimate purpose of life is.
Very subjective, but, you know, it's to find.
Your. Your. Your happy place, your love for life, that enthusiasm. I think that, like, you know, if human beings just strive to find that one thing that makes them super enthusiastic to get out of bed, to do a hard day's work, so they're not just sitting around, you know, on the beach sipping cocktails where they're really getting out of bed to do something with their lives, you know, their time with their bodies, you know, and then also to be kind and compassionate if you can find whatever vehicle that is. And it's different for everybody. It could be just raising a family. It could be, you know, becoming a famous, like, podcaster. It could be musician on stage, you know, whatever it is, if you can find that, if you keep striving for it and keep searching and. And really learning about yourself till you find that thing that gets you out of bed and makes you tick and where you can actually go for it and. And. And put some effort in, like, I think that's, for me, like a purpose for life. But then there's also. There is no purpose to. It's like this is all just a game again.
It's fun.
So it's. Whatever. It's the game. I think it's defiant. Figure out the game of life yourself, whatever that is. And beautifully said, sir.
Where can people find out More about you and the amazing work you're doing in the world.
Well, I have a course with Next level Soul.
Yes, you do, sir.
Check that out. Somabreath.com and our app, we have the Soma breath app and it's pretty badass as well. Amazing. Healthy ass.
Yes, healthy. Pretty bad. Healthy ass.
Yeah.
Pretty good.
Yeah. And we. So we have a whole range of different techniques on there that you can take.
It's a rabbit hole.
But, but we really want more instructors. Like we, we want to like, you know, change the healthcare system and the mental health as well of the world. So we need cerno breath instructors. We need like, we want to attract more doctors, more lawyers, more accountants, more professionals who are miserable, hate their lives. You know, people of the medical world, the corporate world. We want to train people in these techniques that allows people to firstly have a fulfilling career, but also solve some of the world's biggest problems, you know, disease, depression. And so I'm calling people to, to join us and become cerebral breath instructors, which you can find out all about on our website. So.
And do you have any party messages for the audience?
I love my life. That's my mantra. And like everybody, I wear a T shirt. I love my life. And, and you know, I just, I think like there's so much. This is what I'm talking about, the perception filters. You know, I used to see the world as hostile, no God, like atheist. Like, everything's out to get me. I'm on my own, like, you know, and there's no hope. Money's bad. I had all these beliefs, this BS system. And I just think when you shift that and you start to see the world with opportunity, love, incredible people, inspiration, and there's a universe that wants you to be happy and healthy and succeed. And when you, if you can shift those perception filters, the world becomes a phenomenally beautiful, incredible, exciting adventure. And that's why I hope to pass on to everybody.
My friend, it has been such a pleasure having you here in Austin. Thank you so much for being part of the Ascension conference. It was a magical, magical experience seeing you work and the lives you touched at the conference. And I appreciate you and everything you're doing to awaken this planet, my friend. And I'm looking forward to, forward to diving deeper into the breath work and have my own psychedelic, more psychedelic experiences or near death experiences or just opening your consciousness up to higher levels.
Yeah, the breath.
So I appreciate you, my friend, so much. Thank you for coming.
Thank you, brother. Been an absolute blessing. Peace.
