How To FRONT LOAD The Work In An Amazon Business

Oliver Denyer explains how to front load work in an Amazon private label business. Do the heavy lifting upfront on product selection and research, and you'll build a business that runs itself. He shares personal experience and invites viewers to a live webinar for deeper guidance.
Hey, how's it going? It's Ollie here. I'm currently in Sweden in my apartment and I'm just about to go to a coffee shop to start researching some private label products to actually sell on my account. And I thought I'd ask you a quick question. Would you be interested in learning how to front load the work in an Amazon business? You might be thinking, well, what do I mean by that? Well, front loading the work basically means you put the hours in in the beginning to research a product, get it to sell on your account, and then that initial work that you put in pays off for months after the product continues to sell for months after you initially put in that research and get it imported and the product continues to sell for years.
Right.
Even though you've only put in those initial first few hours of work, how do you actually set up your business? So this is the case. Well, I want to tell you a quick story about a really crappy product that I imported when I was first starting my Amazon business. As you probably know, I was doing a lot of arbitrage back then, buying products from retail stores, online stores, doing a bit of wholesale. So importing products and private labels and stuff really wasn't my main skill set, right? I had to learn it just like you guys probably are learning it right now. And so I was pretty crap at the whole process, like I was a complete newbie. So one of the first products I imported really wasn't exactly the best product ever. So I started off without too much knowledge, without too many skills of how really the process works properly, and imported a few hundred units of this small product from China. Now, to cut a long story short, the product didn't exactly sell as fast as I wanted it to. I actually imported another batch after that as well. And I think the most I got it selling was about 14 times a day. But the really interesting thing is about this product, even though it was really not the best product I've ever imported, it still to this day sells five times a day. From the work I did over a couple years ago, right, I imported quite a big batch and this thing still sells five times a day. So from that initial work that I did, I still make sales. Now with the products I import at the moment, I do the exact same thing, right? But now I have the capability of getting much better results like my products do. I upwards of 10k a month on the platform and they continue to do that long after I put in the initial hours of actually importing them.
Right?
So question is, how do you actually make this happen consistently? Now the thing is, it's not just me that actually makes this happen. My clients made this happen as well. One of my clients who joined me before they even joined my one to one program had actually already had a product selling on their account. The same product had been selling for 2 years on his account, generating about 2k profit per month. So, you know, it's not just me that makes this stuff work. My clients do it, people I've taught do it, other people do it. There must be some pattern to how these people are getting successful in front loading the work, researching a product and then having it sell for months and years after. Well, luckily it's actually very simple to be able to make this work. To run a business where you're not constantly having to put in hours and hours and hours. You can just work in the beginning and then just recoup the rewards for months or years after. And it's pretty simple. It all comes down to actually choosing the right product to sell on your account. Luckily, it's really easy to get this right. There's only three things you have to focus on. The first one is making sure the product you're selling has enough revenue.
Right.
You always want to make sure that there's evidence that people want to buy this product that you're selling. Don't want to be reinventing the wheel. You don't want to be selling products where you're innovating or kind of hoping that it's going to really work when there's no evidence of it. You want evidence of customers paying money for the product. Right. So if there's revenue already going through in the marketplace, you know that you're not reinventing the wheel and you're selling something customers want. Revenue is the first thing most important. Second thing is managing levels of competition. If you can find a product that's going to sell steadily, isn't going to get flooded with other sellers, then you know that your product will continue to sell for months or years after you import it. All you've got to do is restock when you run out of stock.
Right.
So revenue levels of competition. The third and final thing you want to watch out for is making sure you're adding value to the marketplace. If you sell an exact carbon copy of exactly what's available right now, customers aren't going to find any reason to buy your product over the other ones that are being offered the marketplace. Right. So you've got to add something else. So how do you do that? Well, look at what the customers are annoyed about, look at what's missing, and look how you can offer something different to the marketplace. If you can do that, you know you've added value. Okay, so those are the three things. Revenue, managing levels of competition, and adding value to the marketplace with your product. If you do those three things, you can be sure that you can front load the work in your business. Spend a few hours importing a product in the beginning and have it pay off for months after selling in the background on autopilot. This is how you build a huge business with private labels, because you're leveraging Amazon to do all the work for you. Remember, private labels are a real Strategy. They're a 1 trillion dollar industry worldwide, right? $1 out of every $3 in the consumer packaged goods industry is spent on private label products sold by supermarkets, sold by individual sellers, sold by other companies. That's a lot of money being spent on these products. So this is a real strategy. If you want to learn how you can actually get going with this, we'll be getting to specifics where I can actually help you and guide you through exactly how to implement this strategy. Then the best thing to do would be to join me in one of my live webinars. The reason why is because it's an hour of focus where I take you through exactly how I imported my products, that's doing over 11k per month, what formula I used to choose that product, and how you can just rip off my methods and use them yourself.
