Tommy Dobczyk hosts a Canadian taste test comparing maple syrup, ginger ale, and other foods. Vernors ginger ale, made in Ohio, has a distinctive vanilla flavor that sets it apart from Canadian Schweppes. The group also discusses the Ottawa Apple, an Epcot cocktail made with whiskey, cranberry juice, and apple notes.

Tommy does this like once a week, this like Canadian taste test challenge. So the first started with maple syrup, American maple syrup or Canadian maple syrup. Yesterday, the Canadian, I definitely picked. It's one for one.
It's one for one.
And yesterday was ginger ale.
One for one. She missed the Canadian dry.
Yeah, but I don't think enough Canadians drink it. She went with the Schweppes. It's down here, maybe.
She went with the Schweppes. Schweppes won.
Okay, I actually like Vernors, which doesn't taste anything like other ginger ales at all.
There you go. Vernors is a whole different flavor altogether, and yeah, I think it's from Virginia, maybe. I don't know.
Well, that would make— I don't know, that's what my grandfather drank when I was a kid, so that's kind of what I grew up on.
That's awesome, I love it.
And in Canada, Epcot, there's a drink that they always have like year-round that's the drink that I get when we go to Epcot. It's called Ottawa Apple, and it's whiskey in it and cranberry juice and whatever. So that's my favorite.
Okay, I'm coming.
Yeah, that's a good tour. Yeah, and like apple stuff. I think it's like an apple whiskey or something. I don't know. I have the recipe and I do make it every once in a while, but it's, it's kind of a, in my opinion, it's a hot weather drink. So yeah, usually if you're going out by the pool or something. I love that.
So Vernors was actually created in, uh, Toledo, Ohio in 1925. It is a vanilla flavored ginger ale.
Oh, I think I'd like that even more. I love vanilla. Oh boy. Yeah.
