Oklahoma, Kansas, and Montana are giving away free land to attract developers. Towns lose money upfront but gain tax revenue once the land is developed. Tina successfully built a project in Boone, though it requires serious legwork to find and execute these deals.
There are places like there's spots in Oklahoma, Kansas, Montana, where they're giving away land so that you'll do something with it so they can put it on the tax roll. So these— the way that municipalities make money is off of taxes and bonds and people being in town. So if you're not there, they can't make money. So if they give it away to you, then they can charge you for it later on down the road, of course.
So back to Amor's question, is this something she should pursue?
Absolutely. I mean, there's ways to do it, but again, there's a lot of work that goes into it. Deal Hunter will help get through a lot of it. Uh, but yeah, you can pursue it 100%. You get the lot, they give you the money to do the work. I think Tina has a little bit of experience with this as well because she did it with the property she has out there in Boone. Right. And so it's 100% possible. It's just, it's 1,000% work.
You're not afraid of work, amor. I'm not afraid of work.
