A CFO of a construction management company jokes with Tommy Dobczyk about being a land shark, then explains he knows construction finance but doesn't want to do deals himself. The exchange shows how CFOs think about capital deployment differently than deal makers.
Are you a land shark doing deals?
Probably hire one of those.
So I mean, I'm a CFO of a commercial construction management company, so right, I do know a lot about it, but I don't want to do it.
Exactly. So the idea is that you get 10 deals reviewed a week, you, you, you put 3 offers together, you get 2 operators converted into a conversation about these deals, and then you get 1 deal to, you know, deploy the capital into. And then your monthly output, it suggested, was to find 1 deal, fund it, and grow your income between $500 and $2,000 a month and add one new operator relationship a month. Right. So this is just making suggestions for you based on your longevity in the program already, you know, so far. Four non-negotiable gates for capital deployment. Is the capital protected? So it says asset-based collateral, like collateral is a big thing because like, for example, we're in a situation right now where we had collateralized property, and they collateralized a vehicle, and they called it a, they called it a, a park model, right?
