Hello and welcome to this week's episode of Tuesday Talk. This is Pamela Jean. Thank you for joining me today. I want to talk a little bit about our subject today, and I have chose the topic of you Deserve more. I read an article online the other day about how we as women oftentimes stay in a situation. We put up with something, we deal with something for a much longer time than what we ever really should have to. Why do we do that? Why do we cut ourselves so short all the time on what. What we should get out of life, what we should have out of life. We're so quick to judge ourselves and to judge other women and instead of building and lifting each other up. Because you know what, ladies, we deserve more. We deserve the very best out of our life. And I think we all are guilty of allowing someone to be in your life that isn't good for you, whether it be a family member, whether it's a spouse or you're in a relationship, it doesn't matter what it is. But we allow people to stay in our lives for. For too long and have too much power in our lives. And what I just want you to think about today is take a little inventory of what and who is in your life. Where are areas that you're not happy, that you're not content, that you are working so hard for something to go well and for something to work when really it's not in your control. You've given everything you can give and still the same results happen. At the end of every day. Take a look at what is toxic in your life. And when I say that, I mean, perhaps it's a co worker, someone that you work with that every day you dread running into them at work, at the office, you do not want to have the same lunch hour as them because the time that you are with them is so negative that they just suck the life out of you. We've all been around people like that. Why do we allow that person to be in our life? Why do we allow those negative relationships to continue for years and years and years? As a strong woman, we get to decide. And not just as a strong woman, but women in general. We get to decide who is in her life and the role and the power that they're going to have in our lives and as we're raising children and being working moms. And many of you that are listening today are entrepreneurs. You have your own businesses, you're creating clients every day. You're doing all the things to make everything come together in your life. But yet there are certain areas that are falling short. In this article I read about. You Deserve More. It's about a strong woman who's been in a relationship for a really long time, who has given everything she could possibly give to this situation, to this relationship. And this could be a spouse, that this could be a friendship, this could be the relationship with a parent. It's just relationship in general that you know you've given everything that you can give. And still the people that are in your life, the people that are part of that relationship are not giving back the same effort in which you are giving. Eventually this is going to happen. Eventually you're going to run out of energy, you're going to run out of desire, you're going to stop caring because those around you don't care as much as you do about the relationship or about the project or whatever it is that it might be. I want you to look at your life and seriously take an inventory of those areas that you're not happy, that the areas where you know there's got to be something better for you in your life. Why are you settling? Why are you settling to not be happy, to be unfulfilled, Whether you're working in a job that has absolutely no, no satisfaction for you. And you never want to be in a situation where you are just collecting a paycheck because you, you are made to make a difference in this world. You are made to make an impact on the people that you come across every single day. You're not made just to slide through life and have no impact. That's not why you were put on the planet, was just to slide through life, collect a paycheck and go home every night. How can you make an impact on someone else? How can you make a difference in somebody else's life? How can you show to someone else that they deserve more in their life? So if you're in that dead end road of a job, why were you there? Why are you still stuck in that position? Why don't you search for something that has purpose, that gives you meaning, that speaks to your soul that you know if you've got to put in 10 hours of overtime every day or every week, it doesn't bother you. It feels good because you're passionate about it. You're creating an experience for yourself that's just going to speak, spill over into everyone else's lives that you meet. Sometimes change is so difficult. Change is hard sometimes. But when you go through those changes, when you experience those changes as hard as they Are what it really ends up happening is it reveals the real you. It reveals the person deep down underneath that has been put on this earth to serve other people and to make other people's lives better. When we're in the trenches of being mothers, working mothers, and even stay home mothers, I was never a stay home mom. So I don't know what it's like to be with my children 24 7, 365. To be honest with you. I don't know that I would have been a very good stay home mom because I love working. I've always worked and I love working. I love being an entrepreneur and I love seeing the changes that I could make in other people's lives. But for that stay home, home mom, where's your purpose? I know your purpose is devoted to your family and your household and making everything run like clockwork. But if you're not satisfied in that role, then find ways to be satisfied with it. You deserve more. You deserve to live your very, very best life. That's the thing we have to always remember. We get one life, one time, we get one. One journey through our lives. That's all we get. We don't get do overs. There are no do overs. And you know, at the end of your life, you know, you're never gonna look back and say, gosh, I'm glad I stayed in that job and just collected a paycheck. I'm glad I wasn't fulfilled in that position. But gosh, I ended up with a lot of money in the bank. You know, that's not how you're gonna think. You're gonna want to look at your life and go, you know what? I made a difference. And in people's lives, I made a difference in my children's lives by being a really incredible stay home mother. Whatever that is for you. Wherever you are in your journey of life, always remember that you deserve more. You deserve to be respected and loved and appreciated. You deserve to be in a relationship, a situation, a family where you're respected and trusted and all of the things you deserve, all of that. And now we need to also take responsibility for where we are in our lives. Because all of your past decisions, all of those decisions that you made yesterday and the day before and the day before, they've put you where you are today. They've put you. You're in the position you are today because of choices and decisions that you've made. So take some ownership of where you are in your life. Take some ownership of your failures, of your successes Take ownership of all of the things in your life because ultimately it was your choice. You are where you are because of the choices that you've made. It's not anyone else's fault if something is not going right in your life. If there's things that you're not happy about your life, you're in charge of those things. People come into your life because you allow them to be there. People make you feel guilty because you allow yourself to feel guilt. You can choose that. It's a choice. It's always choice. Now some choices are harder than others. Absolutely. Some decisions are more difficult than others. Without, without a doubt. But ultimately you get to choose the narrative of your life. You get to choose that if you are in a place where you are not happy in your life, where you feel unappreciated, where you feel like, gosh, is this all there is for me? Is lost my passion, I've lost my zest. I need more in my life. Then make a choice to make it different and to make it better. Because you do deserve more. I believe that with everything in me, you absolutely deserve more. You have one life to live and how you live that life is ultimately your decision. Thank you so much for joining me. I know this was short and sweet today, but I just want you to get to really start thinking about where you're at in your life. Take an inventory of what is good and what is not good, what you want to change and how you want to change it. And believe and know that you do deserve more. And start thinking about the roadmap of how you want to get to where you want to be. If you don't know where you want to be, you're never going to find that right road to get where you ultimately want to go. To serve other people, to serve yourself, to serve your family, whatever that looks like for you. There's no right or wrong answer because it's what's in here. Happiness and joy is absolutely an inside job. You have to love yourself, believe in yourself and know that you deserve more out of life.
