3 Things to Do Now in Curriculum Access

Three educators show how to prepare Curriculum Access before school starts: give placement assessments to track student growth, organize materials like Math Meeting workbooks and social-skills PDFs, and set up behavior supports including mini schedules and vocabulary strips.

Here are the top 3 things I would do if I was a Curriculum Access user getting ready for next year. First thing, give your placement assessments. I know it's the end of the year, it doesn't seem logical, but it actually is. We wanna show that growth.
So either send that digital placement assessment or give those printables.
Share those scores with parents and staff when they, your students make gains.
The second thing that I would do, pop into the curriculum. Take a look at the materials that you're needing next year.
One of my favorite things to do is prep things like the Math Meeting student workbooks. You'll be able to find those in leveled resources and the Math Meeting resource is right there too. But these PDFs are specifically designed to help your learners be able to follow along in a paper pencil format instead of using just one student up at the whiteboard. If this is your jam, it's perfect to go along with that math meeting.
The other thing that I would consider prepping is in social skills.
I would go on over to the morning meeting resources. Again, you've got a bunch of PDFs here that go along with those digital resources.
Everything from primary, these workbooks which are great. Students can independently identify how they're gonna greet their friends.
You don't even have to use technology if your school is shying away from that.
And you've even got bulletin board pieces. So if you want matching bulletin board pieces, you have them. Everything from like matching signs to the clip art is there for you to be able to put on a bulletin board and have your students just be able to use these pieces. And don't worry, we don't just have primary.
We have elementary, middle school, and high school.
Everything is done with age-appropriate clip art, of course, because we always want to represent all of our students. I just love how these change and they grow with students as they grow older and they still need relevant materials.
The next thing that I would do, and this is the last thing that I would do, pop over to support tools.
The beauty of Curriculum Access is you don't have to plan too much. You don't have to go overboard, but you will want some of these behavior tools and communication tools prepped and ready for next year.
So things like mini schedules, behavior contingency maps, These are perfect to be able to print, have ready to go, so when you start next school year, you can start off fresh and ready.
And these vocabulary strips, if you're not using these, you are really missing out. This is the perfect way to be able to model language throughout a lesson.
There's instructions and prep guides here as well, and then additionally, we even give you a training video on how to utilize it. I know that these tips will get you ready to go, and you will have the most amazing end of the school year that will set you up for success next year.
