If you are struggling to take data, you need a rubric. I love rubrics for summarizing data throughout a day, throughout the week. This is such a doable thing that you can incorporate into your classroom. This behavior rubric is free when you attend my data webinar, and it's a great summary for the day. So you can look at safety, participation, and transitions, circle where they scored. This is also fully editable, so you can change any of this if it doesn't pertain to your student. But at the end of the day, you circle where they were at, give them a score, and then add it up, and then you can track this over time to see progress.
