Hi everyone, I just wanted to show you a real quick demo of ClassDojo. I absolutely love it. My favorite thing about it is being able to message parents directly and then our class story. There's a ton of different things you can use it for, like positive behavior points. With my 3-year-olds, I don't do that, but I do use it for, like I said, the class story and messages. So this is just a demo class, but once you log your students in, which is incredibly easy to do, you can either contact their parents by phone number, email, or a QR code. And then once they join your class, they'll just appear as this cool little avatar. So in Class Story, this is like kind of like a Facebook thing, but obviously it's not public to everyone, it's just to your class. And you can add photos. I've uploaded PDF files such as my About Me and Back to School Supply List so that students can, sorry, parents can see them earlier. And then obviously you can post really cool photos. And I just remind parents to, you know, be sensitive to other family members and not repost these to big social media outlets bits, and then they can comment and like just like they would on social media. And then of course my favorite part, like I said, is the messaging. You can let parents know individually if their child needs something like more snack or more clothes or anything like that. It does translate into over 35 languages, which I did not know until I looked at this demo. And, um, just a really nice way— it's kind of like a text messaging system. So that's kind of like a quick overview. Like I said, I don't use all the features like portfolios, but there's a ton more stuff you can do, and it's free. Also in Messages, you can print out the messages between you and a parent in case you need that for like a parent communication log for your supervisors. So check it out, definitely the best thing I've done to increase parent contact.
