Natasha from The Autism Helper shows how to use the digital Level Daily Work resource in PowerPoint and Google Slides. Create personalized copies for each student using Save As, delete unused pages, and keep a master untouched. Distribute via Seesaw, email, or Google Classroom depending on your setup.

I'm Natasha from The Autism Helper, and I'm here to show you how to use Level Daily Work, the digital version. Now, the digital version took us a while to figure out the best setup for it, and this is included within your purchase. If you already own Level Daily Work, you can just re-download to access this. When you re-download, there'll be the original printable version plus the new digital version, and it's a little bit more involved, but I wanted to spend the time to create something that would be super functional for you, and I want to walk you through it right now. It's very easy to use. So when you open it up here, you'll have two options. You'll have either PowerPoints or Google Slides. You also have some directions that are written out if you don't want to watch a tutorial. So here's that right there. I'm going to first start out by showing you the PowerPoints, and then I'll show you the slides. It depends completely on what platform you're using for virtual instruction. Um, if you're using a Google Classroom, I highly recommend you obviously use Google Slides, but depending on your needs, I have both versions. So within PowerPoint, it's a zip file and it will open up to 4 different quarters. Now, the reason I broke this up into quarter 1, 2, 3, and 4 is because these documents were getting massive. If you own the original resource, you know that these are huge documents. So, and the digital version got even longer. I broke them up into 4 sections just to make it easier for you. As you can see, this one has 135 slides. Something that had like hundreds of slides to me would have gotten overwhelming. You don't have to use these in any order. Breaking it up into 4 sections was really just to make life a little bit easier on you. So here is Quarter 1. So you have each level daily work page and there are 3 pages the student needs to get to complete all the work. So here's page 1, page 2, and page 3 all around this same kind of prompt page like in the original level daily work. Here's the next version. So a different prompt page, page 1, page 2, page 3. So 3 different pages students have to do. Now, a few ways you can use this with your students and what I would recommend doing. Now, I would recommend working off this original copy. I would recommend either assigning work for students for the day or for the week. If you can teach students for the week, I think that'd be awesome. If students are better off assigning things per day, no problem. So what I would recommend doing is going to Save As and then saving for the exact date that you want students to do this on. So let's say I have Johnny and I want him to do this on November 18th. This is his November 18th activity. And this will be real quick to go through, do the whole week at one time, save as, save as, save as. You'll have it all organized, ready to go. So I'm gonna go save as Johnny, November 18th, save. And I only want Johnny to do one activity. So I want him to do these first 3 pages. So I'm gonna go ahead Delete all of these. Now I have Johnny November 18th done. Okay, save. I'm going to go back to my original version here. So we're always working off that original version. Now I'm going to go save as Johnny November 19th. And I'm going to save this again on my desktop. Save. And he already did these 3. So I'm deleting those. Now I want him to do this one. I'm going to delete the rest. And go. So now you just— in a minute here, I have 2 days of the independent work ready to go. So what this will look like for Johnny is this is an editable document. He cannot move anything in the background. He cannot move the directions. But what he can do is type in the text boxes. So he can write in just like we would on the worksheet, oh, this boy feels He's sad because people are talking about him. So they can write in all the activities. They can do the different, you know, word scramble. They can do the daily grammar. I'm gonna write 5 nouns: baseball, cup, mom, hand. I can't even think of 5 nouns right now. There you go. So they can type everything in, and then when they're done, they will save it. Save it and they will submit it back to you. The great thing about a PowerPoint is you can use this on any platform. You can assign these PowerPoints on Seesaw. You can email them directly. You can use them on any platform you want. You can even play these on a Zoom call. If you are using Zoom and you are working individually with students, you can on your end do a screen share and then give students screen control to complete this while you're on the phone. I mean, how cool would that be? You can really talk them through what to do and how to do this in a quick and easy way. So here is what this looks like in PowerPoint. Now let's jump over to Slides. So on the Slides version, you will get a document that looks about like this. And if you are doing another level, it will look the same. And you're gonna click on here for it to open. This will force you to make a copy. So you'll open up your copy, and I recommend saving a master copy that you work off of just so you don't have to go back to that document anymore. So master copy, Digital Daily Work, and same thing, these are fully editable, but again, you can't touch the background. Now Google Slides makes everything so easy for us. I absolutely love this. I'm Google Slides, guys. If you're using Google Classroom, you've got to use this. So I'm gonna select the files I want. I want to have just one day, so 3 pages. I'm gonna go make a copy of my selected slides. I want this to be for Johnny, November 18th. Actually, you know what, I'm gonna do my whole class because I'm gonna— let's say I'm gonna give this to my whole class, or I'm even gonna give it to a group. So I'm gonna say Group 3, November 18th. I want this to go to 3 different students. So now I have my new document right here, Group 3. Oh no, I don't. It encountered a problem. There we go. No, Group 3, November 18th. So now I'm gonna go to my classroom on Google Classroom and I'm going to create an assignment. So I'm gonna say daily work for November 18th. Completes the activity, and then I'm going to add my document right here. So here's my Group 3, I'm gonna click that. And I'm gonna make a copy for each student because I don't want, you know, Johnny to see Sarah's activity and Sarah to see Johnny's activity. I'm gonna pick which students I want. If you have all students, you can assign it to specific ones, and then assign. So when students get this on their end, they will be able to, again, go in and do the same thing. What animal has stripes? A tiger has stripes. This will save automatically and you will be able to go in and see what they did. If you are, you eat soup with a spoon, I can't multitask. If you are hybrid or virtual, this is gonna make life so much easier. Level Daily Work to me was really created to make life easier. It is planned for the whole year, and this is exactly what this will continue to do with the digital version.
