Sasha from theautismhelper.com presents Leveled Homework Level 1, a set of 36 weekly packets for the full school year. Each two-page packet has the same layout so students focus on content, not figuring out what to do. The packets cover counting, tracing, letter identification, and simple math, with optional prompts to make them harder.

Hi, this is Sasha from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview of Leveled Homework Level 1. So if you've checked out my Leveled Daily Work, this is very similar in that there are 3 different levels of different types of work activities focused on a specific skill set, and this product will also last you the whole year. So if you're going to be using my Daily Work, this will align perfectly. Now homework is something that I really struggle with because I have so many different levels in my classroom. To make homework that's appropriately leveled for each child can oftentimes be a big struggle, and it's not really high on my priority list. So I'm super, super excited about this product because once I print and make copies, I'm done for the year. So anything that's going to be that big of a time saver for me, I'm all over. So I'm gonna give you a quick rundown of what's included in this pack. So here's a description. There's 36 weekly homework packets, so it'll last you the entire year. Here's a note to parents explaining the importance of homework and how homework should be run. And then there— this product does include an anchor chart. This product is done with minimal writing because this is the lowest level set, but you can make it a little bit harder by adding in the color words or number words, but your students might need that prompt. Um, so each page follows the same structure, which I always talk about, I think is so important for our students. We really want them to get used to doing the same things in the same way and just changing the content. They don't have to spend the time relearning the structure of the worksheet or what's expected of them. They can just focus, focus on the actual work. So the— each homework packet is 2 pages, so you can copy double-sided, have 1 page for the week, and there's a section for each day of the week. Now these students will probably need some assistance by parents on finding the right section, but I would bet that after several weeks those kids will really get it. Kids are such great rule followers. So Level 1 focuses mostly on foundational skills such as counting 1 through 10, tracing, letter identification, number identification, bigger and smaller, and letter formation. So Mondays is writing a word in the appropriately sized boxes, circling which is bigger, and identifying the color. So this color chart, I'm going to staple on— laminate and put on the back of the homework folder so they always have access to it. So my kids that aren't so familiar with the color sight words can reference this, and then it's more of a complex matching task as opposed to comprehending the color word. Next is circling how many, tracing words, circling letters, tracing shapes, matching, another color identification. Thursday is like visual math, so for our non-writers they can still access this by circling the number, or if you want to make it harder, they can also then write the number word. So they can circle that there are 4 fish and then write F-O-U-R. So that kind of non-ver— non-writing math activity. Then they're circling all of one letter, number, and then visual perception task of copying the picture. So the structure is the same for each week and just the content changes. So I'll briefly go through and show you the different pages. They are numbered by what week, and they do get a little bit more difficult slightly, um, as the year goes on. But pretty much it stays the same because for these skills, kids, we really do need that rigidity and that structure. That's really, really important for them, and I think the goal for homework is to provide that homeschool connection, generalize some of these skills, and give them something meaningful to do at home. So this is some kind of a little bit of a different goal maybe within with some of our other kids, but we really want to make sure that they're getting successful and consistent doing the same type of activity every single day. So here's all the different packets. All the way down to 36 weeks. And these are all, as you can see, no color, so you don't have to worry about printing this whole packet and ruining your color ink computer. So this is all black and white. It'll be really quick to print and photocopy. So again, this was a product preview of Leveled Homework Level 1, which lasts the entire year, 36 weeks, from theautismhelper.com.
