Hi, this is Sasha from the Autism Helper, and this is a product preview of my parts of speech file folder activities. So the table of contents includes what types of parts of speech are in each section, so you can easily just print certain parts of speech as you go if you're teaching them one at a time, or go through and pick and choose. So I'm gonna start off with the noun ones. So first, there's about 3 to 5 file folders per category here. So the nouns, I think there are 5 different file folders. The first one is sorting people People, Places, and Things. So these will be what goes into the file folder, and these are all the pieces. I intended a lot of these file folders to be a longer activity because I want to include a lot of examples. So lots of examples of people, of places, of things, because I really want to build in the vocabulary and the generalization here. Then we have Matching Singular and Plural Nouns. So this one version is matching the words to the pictures. So here's pictures and then you will match the words. So pencils go here, whereas pencil goes here. And then here's another matching singular and plural, but this time you're matching the pictures. So here's all the pictures and you will match it to the correct words. And for both of them, as you'll notice, there is dog and dogs, there's book and books. So things like that. Matching the noun word to picture. So there is a version of this type of file folder in a few of the categories, and I love this because it's really going to make sure your kids aren't memorizing it. It's almost like a puzzle but in file folder form. So here's all the pieces, there's a lot of pieces, and you'll be matching the picture to the word. But both the picture and the word are pieces, so there's no memorizing the order. You have to find the pair that goes together and put them together and then match them all here. So I really love this. I love that there's a ton included. Again, meant to build vocabulary, build that category out in each kid's heads. Now we're into verbs, so the same structure but with verbs, so matching the verb pieces to the word. Sorting past, present, and future tense verbs, different words, sorting by tense. Next is matching the verb sentences. So there's pictures, need to find the correct sentence that goes with each one. Great to build reading comprehension. Filling the verb in the sentence. So here is all of the words and putting them into the sentence for the different verbs. Next is pronouns. So sorting the pronouns by he, she, it, and they. Then is filling in the pronoun, and now we include some possessive pronouns as well. So putting those into the sentences, matching the possessive pronoun sentence to the pictures here. Again, that great for that reading comprehension. And then that puzzle style vocabulary one. So obviously we're gonna have multiple he, she's, and they's because we're only focusing on 3 pronouns for this file folder. So finding the right pairs and putting them together on these 2 pages. Next, on to adjectives. So here we're matching the adjective to the picture. These are a little tricky. I really like these ones. Then matching the two adjectives, so finding which two adjectives go with the picture. And then on to sorting. So we're going to sort adjectives kind of into senses. So we have colors, so what we see, emotions and feelings, so how we feel, how something feels when we touch it, The size, well, again, what we see, taste, and sound. I purposefully have multiples included into two categories. So for example, the sun is under the color yellow and under something that's hot. So there's a few of those things that will be part of two categories. Next, filling in the adverbs. So here's the adverbs included, and then those get paired with a verb. Sorting the adverbs by answering a question where, when, or how. Then we're on to prepositions, matching the picture to the word, following directions. These are actually some of my favorites. So there's 4 different groups of pictures with different items. So these are the pieces that you move and there's 3 different instructions. So putting the ball on the table, under, and next to. And when you set these up, make sure to put Velcro in multiple spots so the clue isn't the Velcro, but the sentence is actually what the kids are responding to. So kind of 4 different groups there. Filling in the preposition into the sentence. And then we're on to the parts of speech mix-up. So here we're sorting the parts of speech, so nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions, adverbs, and pronouns. And then the last one is matching the parts of speech. So there's a word and then the part of speech, and you have to find the match, put them together on the file folder right here. So there's— ooh, one more, I forgot. So this one is putting the stars, kind of like a little multiple choice one, under the correct preposition type. So you'll put it under noun or under preposition, and then there's some spots to store all the stars at the bottom, which is nice. You don't deal with any baggies. So these are all the file folders included. There's 23. They're all very different, working on a really wide range of categories all around the parts of speech.
