Hi, this is Sasha from TheAutismHelper.com, and this is a product preview of my Cooking Sequencing File Folder Activities. So there's 6 file folder activities included, 3 that look at 3-step sequencing and 3 that look at 4-step sequencing. Sequencing is something that a lot of our kids need to work on or have an IEP goal related to, and looking at cooking is a great way to really look at the generalization of that skill because that's something that a lot of our kids are going to be familiar with and have experience with. So this not only is going to target that sequencing skill, but it's really functional because It's gonna tie in a lot of great food vocabulary related to food items, food verbs, things like that. So working on sequencing within the structure of cooking. So the first one has 3 different setups for 3-step directions: making Kool-Aid, making soup, making toast, putting the steps in order. Again, another set of 3 set: making pizza, making a turkey sandwich, making chocolate milk. So these are all food items that our students are very familiar with. Then the last 3-step: making muffins, making scrambled eggs, making popcorn. So things that students are eating or making on a regular basis. The next are the 4-step directions. So this is putting steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 in order: making nachos, making a milkshake, making pancakes. Next is making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, pudding, and grilled cheese. Then the last one: making Easy Mac, Rice Krispies, and cookies. So again, targeting these cooking sequencing items and is such a great functional skill to really tie in all of that important life skill vocabulary students need while working on the cooking, the sequencing concepts.
