Sasha from TheAutismHelper.com previews Count, Color, and Name: St. Patrick's Edition, an adapted book with a three-step routine kids repeat across pages: count items, identify the color, name the object. The St. Patrick's version adds green vocabulary, pattern options like zigzag and polka-dot, and light versus dark green to practice color and pattern discrimination.

Hi, this is Sasha from TheAutismHelper.com, and this is a product preview of my adapted book, Count, Color, and Name: St. Patrick's Edition. I love having these different adapted books for each holiday because my kids don't need to relearn the same structure. They know how to accomplish this task, and we're just gonna look on skill generalization— that they can count and identify the color and name vocabulary for a wide range of types of exemplar. So these are really fun to have on hand for each different holiday. Instructions for setup are included and each page follows the familiar structure. For each page they're gonna count how many, identify the color, and name what it is. In this resource we even include some different pattern options since the St. Patrick's Day vocabulary is pretty green focused. We still want to keep with the fun holiday theme, but also kind of making this a little tricky. Our adjectives are zigzag, polka dot, checkered, so they're gonna have to match the pattern when saying kind of what color or what pattern it is, which is really fun to work on and makes it a little bit more challenging. Also adding in light green and dark green and looking at that skill generalization related to identifying colors. Um, so again, this was a product preview of Count Color and Name St. Patrick's Day Edition by theautismhelper.com.
