Hi, this is Sasha from TheAutismHelper.com, and this is a product preview of my adapted book, Count Color Name Back to School Edition. This is actually one of the books that I leave out year-round because I love working on school supply vocabulary words. I think it's really important and functional because these are words we use consistently throughout the school year. You maybe are telling your kids, "Go get scissors," or "Pick out a red crayon." These are words we want our kids to know, so it's great to practice these vocabulary words with this fun adapted book. Having the same structure for all of these books is really critical. Our kids don't need to relearn the structure of the activity. They just need to focus on skill generalization. Can they count any group of items? Can they identify purple when it's scissors or when it's a cupcake? So this is really great to embed generalization into your planning and instruction. So for each group of items, they'll identify how many and what color and what it is. So it's simple but really really structured for our kids and allowing them to really focus on these specific skills. So here's all the different school supplies included and the different pictures, so they'll match the number, the color, and the name. And the storage page— you'll store all these pieces on here, which makes losing them very preventable, which I hate losing pictures. So again, this was a product review of Count, Color, and Name Back-to-School Edition by theautismhelper.com.
