Hi, this is Sasha from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview of my Doctor Unit, a multi-level and multi-subject unit. So if you've checked out my Transportation Unit, it's in a similar structure, and these units are amazing because they're so comprehensive. There's over 200 activities and they're all under the same theme, but they're really individualized for every type of learner you have in your classroom. So there's components for your lower-level learners that are working on basic skills all the way up to more complex. So it really makes your classroom feel more cohesive with everyone working on the same topic but in their individualized way. So I'll give you a brief rundown. There's about 100 different activities roughly for each learner. Some of the games and such can go for multiple levels, which is nice, so you can coordinate some type of activities for different groups. So it starts out— this whole doctor's theme is really great because it's really functional. These are things we need to talk about a lot. Our kids need to learn these vocabulary words and talk about them and understand the meaning of it. So not only are you gonna be targeting a wide range of academics, you're also targeting a functional skill. In our classrooms, we have so much to work on that every component of your day really needs to be multidisciplinary. You need to be working on communication, functional skills, and language arts all in one activity. We just don't have the luxury to focus on one thing at a time because our students are so far behind. So each level comes with a pretty detailed table of contents. Um, you might not have every level in your classroom. You might just need to pull specific activities. So this makes your printing process really easy. Um, so first up is a vocabulary data sheet. This is similar to my other vocabulary units that you can work on the expressive and receptive language data for your learners with the vocabulary words related to the doctors theme. Um, there's different basic skill file folders, picture to picture, picture-to-photo, which are really great, and association of what goes together. So working on a variety of types of skills. There's different matching pages in a few different formats so our kids can generalize as well. So there's a lot of different exemplars so we can make sure our kids are really working on the wide range of skills. Different coloring pages, which are just nice time fillers, are working on following directions and fine motor skills.
Tracing worksheets. In a few different formats.
Copying the words, so the kids that can directly copy the words but might not need the tracing.
Again, copying the words.
And Visual Math, I love these types of sheets. These are really, really useful.
So working on counting the different items, adding them up. These are great for kids who are nonverbal. Um, which is more and which is less worksheets.
Counting.
Counting again in a different format. And then on to Level 2. So a wide range of different types of foundational skills in Level 1. So Level 2 makes it a little more advanced. So file folder matching word to picture, sequencing, which is a really important skill to work on, different matching picture to word worksheets, basic fill-in-the-blank worksheets working on those definitions. Basic WH questions, pretty basic ones to work on the understanding of these vocabulary words. Writing sentence worksheets, and then math worksheets. There's 2 different formats and 10 examples of each, different with patterns, working on a wide range of skills related to academics, specifically with this theme. Word problems that are all doctor-themed, to the basic word problems. Sentence scrambles, all doctor-themed, identifying noun or verbs, and then question cards. So I love these WH question cards to work on WH questions. These are some of my favorites. These are great for a few down minute— downtime minutes at the end of an activity to practice these who, what, where, when, and why questions.
Oops.
A bunch of those. Reading comprehension with basic sentences, and again more WH questions. So that was Level 2. So Level 3 makes it a little more advanced. Matching words to definitions, looking up items online, more advanced WH questions. So these are a little more abstract, working on those harder level skills. Writing up the— looking up the words in the dictionary and writing the definition. So some more academics. Different writing prompts for both narrative, persuasive, and imaginative writing, reading comprehension but with longer paragraphs, so a little more complex and looking at some of those abstract skills as well, and then more advanced math practice. So similar structure but with more advanced skills. Word problems but a little bit more advanced than the ugh level 2 word problems. Identifying sentence details and adding more details to sentences. Noun, verb, adjective, and preposition. Again, still all Dr. Seuss themes. Grammar Mad Libs. And then task card games. So this can be used for both level 2 or level 3 depending on your learners. Different questions with visual props. Conversation cards. These are great for talking about these activities and getting a class discussion started. Even with students that struggle with this, it kind of gives them a little mini script and gets them discussing these different topics related to doctors themed. And then the games, the games are Dr. Bingo. There's two levels of cards with the words and the definitions and different bingo boards. This is great to include your whole class since you can customize this for each individual learner. And then we have I Have, Who Has, which is great to work on not only the vocabulary but also turn-taking. So as you can see, this Mega Unit really has everything for all your unit—
your—
all of your types of learners, and this theme is just so functional and important for you to talk about. Again, this is a product preview of Doctor's Unit by theautismhelper.com.
