Hi, this is Sasha from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview of Feature, Function, and Class Oh My! So this is a game to work on identifying the feature, function, and class of items. So right here, this is the game board. So you can use these flashcards just on their own, or you can have kids play the game. My kids kind of like doing the board game thing, so that's why I made the board. So you could just go ahead and laminate this page, and here are the pieces. The colors go with the flashcard colors. So there's a few different ways you could play it. You could use a regular dice and just have kids roll it and move. There's color cards to kind of play like Candyland style, or there's a visual to make a colored dice. So here are the labels. I like to put, of course, everything in baggies, and I like it to be labeled. So cut these out and glue them or tape them on bags or on Tupperwares, however you want to store it. Here are the cards if you want to play Candyland style. So you could probably print 3 or 4 copies of this page and then cut them out and have them face down and whichever card color they pick, that's what card place— space they move to. And then here's to make a colored die. So you could glue these pieces onto a colored square and then put Mod Podge about it. Like, I think those wooden blocks work pretty well with this. And then here are the cards. So there are 18 cards for each set and there's the question and the answer. So we wouldn't want kids to be looking at these themselves, they could maybe ask the person next to them, or you could ask them. So, what has pockets? Pants. What has laces? Shoes. So, different things on inferring the fea— from the feature what the item is. The next one is function. So, what keeps food cold? What do you cook on? So, thinking about things in kind of a different way in terms of what something is used for. This can be pretty hard for our kids, and I think this is a good skill to directly target. Then last is class, so working on those categories. So an apple is a type of what? Socks are a type of— so kind of grouping things together is such an important prerequisite skill to a lot of other skills that our kids need to learn. So again, I think this is a great thing to really target directly. My kids really love playing this game because it is in a game setting. I think that's a big draw to some of our kids, and it is more fun if it's called a game sometimes. So I hope you've enjoyed watching this preview, product preview of Feature Function and Class Oh My from TheAutismHelper.com.
