Hi, this is Sasha from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview for I Read, I Write: Dolch First Grade Sight Words. This is a packet of worksheets and flashcards that are all iPad-themed to work on the Dolch First Grade words. My students love the iPad, so anything that's gonna get them motivated, I'm on board with. So I just made some simple worksheets to work on practicing reading, writing, and a few different concepts with the Dolch First Grade Words. So this worksheet is just real simple, practice reading the words. This can be done with a parent or with a teacher or aide, and then on the bottom you can count the number correct or incorrect, so to kind of take a little data on this as well. Next are practicing writing the words. They'll copy the words from the bottom to the top in the box. I actually really like that the box is small 'cause some of my kids write really big, so then they can practice writing small as well. Working on rhyming words. Sorting the words by initial letter, and matching. So cutting this out and cutting these words and pasting them on here, so to add a little fine motor as well for cutting and pasting. And then there are the same sets of worksheets with the other words, so all of the 1st grade Dolch words are included. Next are some I Write 5 Times Each sheets. I know it's a little bit boring, but I do like my kids to practice writing the words many times because it does really help that repetition to get them to remember the spelling. So these are just some simple little worksheets with all the different Deutsch 1st grade words to work on writing the words 5 times each. And again, a spot to grade, or incorrect or correct. If their writing is too messy or they spell the words wrong, I count them incorrect. And then there are flashcards for each of the words that are iPad themed, and they love these. They ask to do these cards even though they are still the same flashcards as my other Deutsch 1st grade. They want the iPad ones. So they've really, really enjoyed these. I've actually been using this packet for homework. Including 2 or 3 worksheets, and that's gone really well. And I sent the flashcards home for the parents to work on, and they have really liked them. So they like to do these worksheets, and I like that too. So this was a product preview of I Read, I Write: DILCH First Grade Sight Word Packet.
