Hi, this is Sasha from TheAutismHelper.com, and this is a product preview for I Read, I Write: Dolch Pre-Primer Sight Words. So this is a packet of worksheets and flashcards working on the Dolch Pre-Primer words that are all iPad-themed. Now my kids are obsessed with the iPad, so I figured I'd play off that and make some worksheets out of them, because why not? They'll want to do them. So these are to work on the Pre-Primer words, and there's different worksheets to work on different concepts. So this one is working on just reading the words, and then there's a space to write— to count the number correct and the number incorrect. So it's a nice way to take a little data while working on some simple concepts. Next is writing the words, so they'll copy the words from the bottom onto the page. Thinking of rhyming words for these, and again an area to grade the work. And sorting by initial letter, so they'll sort all the A words, I words, C words. And matching, so cutting this out and matching the words. I match. So then there's the same set of worksheets for the rest of the words to include all of the Pre-Primer words included. And next are the I Write 5 times each. So I think it really is helpful for my kids to have that repetition of writing words several times. I know it's not super fun, but it does help them remember the spelling. So we work on these for homework and independent work time to practice writing the words 5 times each. So there's one for including all of the words in the Pre-Primer set, and then there are flashcards. And the flashcards have a little iPad thing too. So Again, anything to keep them motivated, and they really, really like these. I've actually been using this packet for homework, and it's gone super well. My kids are literally asking me for homework. They want these, which I've never had happen, and I send the flashcards home for the parents to work on. I just printed them on cardstock, cut 'em out, took less than 5 minutes. So I've been including 2 or 3 of these worksheets in their homework packets, and they've really liked it. This was a product preview of my I Read, I Write Dolch Preprimer Sight Word Set from theautismhelper.com.
