I'm Angela from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview of I Spy, an adapted book to work on non-examples. So if you've checked out the other I Spy books, this book follows a similar routine but is working on that kind of really tricky concept of non-examples, so identifying something that's not part of a group, which can be really hard for some of our kids. So each page follows a similar routine. It starts, "I spy with my little eye something that is not an animal," and then there'll be 4 options they place at the bottom, and they'll be selecting the correct option. So down here at the bottom are all the different options. So these are the 4 for not an animal. So they have to select that mushroom is not an animal. So for each one, something that's not a food, not a sport, not a person, not a school supply, not a drink, not clothing, not dessert, not a plant, and not furniture. And then each of these are the 4 pieces for each page. So they'll have to identify what's similar and which different, basically which one doesn't belong, which can be a real tricky concept. But is really important for those advanced categorizing skills. So again, this is a product preview of I Spy, an adapted book to work on noun examples by theautismhelper.com.
