Hi, this is Sasha from TheAutismHelper.com, and this is a product preview of my Interactive Reading Workbook Level 2. So each reading workbook focuses on a different level of skills, and this is more of a middle level. So it's just beyond the basic alphabet matching to some more— starting to get to some more advanced but still simple language arts skills. So I'll give you a brief rundown on the different activities included in this resource. This resource is great to all include in one binder, or you can create separate activities on this. There's a lot of flexibility for this resource. So the first one is putting the letters of the alphabet in order. Next is sorting pictures by first letter. So students will have to identify the objects and sort them by initial consonant. Another, uh, sorting pictures by first letter. And one more sorting pictures by first letter. So this is great to work on identifying objects and matching them with corresponding letters. So it's really gonna take some thought process. You can't just whiz through these. Um, next is a dry erase marker activity, is filling in the missing letter. This is great to ensure that we have that letter sequence system down and a great pre-skill before alphabetizing. Next is filling in the missing letter. Next is matching rhyming words. This one is sorting by vowels, short vowel words. Again, sorting by short vowel words with different vowels. This is a very basic, just starting these parts of speech, but sorting nouns and verbs. So real basic, just categorizing different nouns and different verbs. Great to start to teach about parts of speech. Parts of speech. This one is sorting types of nouns, so people, places, and things. Again, when you're introducing nouns, it's a great topic to work on. Next is sorting word to picture, so working on some basic sight word and comprehension. Again, another matching word to picture, so kids do need to really think about these. These— there's a lot of exemplar in each one, so kids can't memorize it. They're gonna have to actually go through the thought process in reading each word. Then there's some basic matching the nouns. So when I start to teach parts of speech, the biggest thing that I see my kids need is that repetition and seeing all of the examples and really, really practicing the skills.
So these different parts of speech matching pages have been really helpful just for my kids to have extra exposure to seeing all these nouns together, seeing all of these verbs together. So here's the matching noun pages, the matching adjectives, and the matching verbs.
And these have been really, really critical for my kids that really struggled with identifying parts of speech start to get some ideas of what words go together and why. So again, these— this resource has been really, really helpful for me. I have it all in one binder and leave it in my direct instruction area. It's perfect for those 5 minutes at the end of a station when you're not quite ready to transition, but you also need something to keep those hands busy. So it's really perfect for that. Again, this was a product preview of my Interactive Reading Workbook Level 2 by theautismhelper.com.
