In this video, Angela Kulcsar presents the Time Mega Pack, a 120‑page teaching resource designed for early childhood and special education to teach telling time. The pack includes laminated reference sheets that outline clock rules and practice counting by fives and quarter‑hours. Worksheets are organized into four leveled groups—time to the hour, half‑hour, five‑minute increments, and mixed—each containing multiple formats (matching, writing, drawing) with 15‑30 sheets per level to ensure repeated, varied practice. Additional materials comprise Time Bingo boards (six per level), playing cards, a “Who Has” card game that builds attention and social skills, and labeled baggies for organization. Kulcsar emphasizes the pack’s flexibility for direct instruction, homework, independent work, and social‑skill groups, highlighting how the extensive, leveled content supports mastery and maintenance of time‑telling skills.
Chapters
of my time mega pack for early childhood or special education. I'm really excited about this resource because it's super large and really gonna save my butt this year when I need time and clock worksheets. My biggest problem with worksheets I find is that they tend to either be too specific or too broad. So if kids are just working on time to the hour, I wanna have a bunch of worksheets that work on time to the hour, not just one. And I also can't have worksheets that have time to the hour along with time to the 5 minutes because my kids aren't ready for that. So I went through the trouble of really making sure these were all leveled specifically so you can teach this skill by each component. So it'll really help make each skill manageable. So I'm gonna go through briefly what's all included in this pack. It's 120 pages, so you're really getting a lot of work in here. I made these clock rules that I'm gonna laminate and kind of use as reference. To kind of remind kids, you know, the shorthand is for the hour, the long hand points to the minutes, the minutes go by 5s. And then I have these 2 practice sheets that I'm also gonna laminate and kind of use as reference when I'm teaching in direct instruction. So practice counting by 5 starting here, practice finding the quarter hours starting here. So these kind of reference sheets are included. The level time activities, I broke it down into 4 levels: time to the hour, time to the half hour, time to the 5 minutes, and then mixed. So within each set, Time to Hour, there's 15 different worksheets. So there's 5 match time to the hour, the clock to the hour. There's 5 different writing the times, and then there's 5 minute— 5 different versions of drawing the hands. So you're gonna have a lot of different ways to prove that you know this skill for our students. So you'll be able to do a version that's non-writing, one with a little bit of writing, and then kind of that opposite skill Can you do it the other way? So it's really showing that this skill is truly, truly mastered. So next is time to the half hour. So the exact same setup, all with just worksheets to the half hour. So like I said, I have a hard time finding specific worksheets like this, but then a bunch of them, because I don't want just one. I want a lot of different opportunities for my students to practice this skill. So bunch to the half hour, and then the same thing with the 5 minutes, same setup. So they'll really be comfortable with this structure by the time they get to these more complicated skills. And then the most important step of all is this mixed level, what I'm calling it, but it's really just to prove to— that you can discriminate between 5-minute, half-hour, hour, and really generalize all these skills and show discrimination between these abilities. So this section is a little bit longer. There's 30 worksheets in here, 10 of each type, so that they'll really have tons of practice, and these are gonna be great for homework, independent work, downtime in the class. Once these are mastered, you want to make sure these skills are really maintaining, so these are good things just to work on even once the skill is mastered. So lots of different versions of these, 30 different in all. And then there's Time Bingo, and in the same way, these are leveled into the 3 levels. So Time to the Hour with 6 bingo boards, Time to the Half Hour with 6 bingo boards, and then Mixed. There's a bunch more playing cards and there's 10 of these boards. So this is a fun way to generalize these skills to kind of still practice math in other areas. If you're working on a social skill group, taking turns and things like that, you can still incorporate some math into that. And then I have Who Has, which is one of my favorite games because it works on building student attention, social skills, while also addressing an academic area. So you'll laminate these cards, pass them out, and it'll kind of pass around. And this is tricky, like this will really be a complicated game, especially kids that can already tell time. There's a lot going on here, so this is a really good extension and challenge kind of activity. So pass around, who has 10:55? They have to read their clock and realize that they haven't— say, oh, I have 10:55. Who has 6:10? 10, and it'll go all the way around. So there's the cards, and there's a label for the baggie right here, and there's a label for the Bingo Labels baggie, um, the Bingo Calling Cards baggie as well. Um, so this is a huge Mega Pack, um, tons of different clock resources all included. Um, hope you enjoy it. This was a product preview of Time Mega Pack by theautismhelper.com.
