Hi, this is Sasha from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview of File Folder Activities Truck Themed. So I really wanted to make some more file folder activities to work on all these early learning skills that were very motivating for my kids, and I have one little guy that is just obsessed with trucks, and I know a lot of little kids are, so I thought this would be a great way to work on matching, sorting, counting, and other skills in a way that's fun and engaging for our students. It's a great way to make work more enjoyable, enjoyable and more engaging is to make it themed on activities that our kids like to do. So trucks is a great one. So as with my other file folder packets, I include a guide page on how to title the file folder. I'm really too organized sometimes and I like to have everything labeled really nicely, but this really helps when you're trying to find something quickly or you lose the baggie that everything is labeled. So with each file folder activity, you're gonna have 3 labels: a main label that will go on the COVID a tab title that will go on the tab edge in case you're gonna store this in a file cabinet, and a baggie title. The baggie title is the most important because that's what tends to get lost the most, for me at least, is the baggie title. So you can label the baggie. Um, so if you've never used file folder activities before, basically you're gonna set the whole activity up in a file folder and then laminate it. So you want to put the main page and all the labels on the file folder and then laminate the whole thing for longer use if you want. And then after that, you can put hard Velcro on the inside of the file folder, and with each directions I indicate where. So for this Big Trucks page, you'll put it on these dots, hard hard Velcro, and then hard Velcro on the little trucks page, and then you will laminate all the pieces. So each set has pieces. Here are the pieces for the sorting by size. You'll want to laminate, cut them out, and put soft Velcro on the back. So there's 12 different file folders included in here. The first one is sorting trucks by size, so big trucks and little trucks, the visual cue, because that is helpful for some of our learners. Um, next is matching trucks, and this one is matching directly to the exact image, so this one can be a little tricky. So you're going to want to match this exact size truck to this exact one. So there's 2 pages, so, and since there's a lot of similar colors in these images, I kind of like that because they really do have to discriminate which truck it is. This one is yellow and facing this way, this one's blue and facing this way, so there's a little bit more complicated discrimination going on. Um, next is Match Trucks 2, so a little bit different matching trucks. You're going to just be matching the pieces right here, so this one is a little bit simpler. Ordering from Big to Small. This is something my kids really, really need to work on, so I've been making a lot of these lately. So here are the big to small pieces, and there are 4 boards with a visual cue on where to start. So they will order the trucks from big to little 4 times. Next is Easy Pattern. So this is just your basic A-B pattern, and there are 2 opportunities for this. Here's the first one and the second one in the same file folder. And next is the Middle Pattern, so an A-B-C pattern. Here are the pieces. And here's the baseboard to finish the pattern. And hard, so this is ABCD with much smaller pieces, so this is for some of your higher-level learners to still engage in these types of activities. So they really have to focus here on ordering the pattern in the right way. Next are matching numbers to number words, so this is for numbers 1 through 10. Here are the pieces, and here's what they will match it to. So you match the car to the cones. Next, the same thing, matching the car to the cones, but with 11 through 20. Here you go. And Counting Trucks, so you will match the number to the correct amount. So they'll have to count, you know, count 6 and then match the number 6 right there. These are great ones for working on 1-to-1 correspondence. Next is Ordering the Alphabet, putting the letters in order. This is something I realized a lot of my kids did not know how to do, so this is a great one. And it's time-consuming, so this is great for a workstation. So here's the pieces, and then they have to put the letters in order. And then next, this is matching lowercase to uppercase. I like to use this skill with, um, some of my lower learners, 'cause it's still— a lot of them do look similar, but it's that non-identical matching that's a great skill to target. And that's it! So there's 12 different file folders included in here, all truck-themed, so your little guys will for sure love this if you have some truck lovers, and detailed instructions for all of them.
