Product Preview VB MAPP Task Cards Visual Perception Skills and Match to Sample Level 2

Angela Kulcsar previews the 13 task-card sets in VB-MAPP's Visual Perception Skills and Match-to-Sample Level 2. The sets progress from identical matching to messy arrays and action photos, using laminated Velcro pieces for movable cards. They're designed for independent work, work boxes, and direct instruction to build visual discrimination and generalization skills.

I'm Angela Kulcsar, and this is a product preview of Visual Perception Skills and Match to Sample Level 2. There are 13 sets of task cards included. These are for all the milestones plus all of the task analysis component skills. I love how these increase in difficulty. I'm gonna go through all 13 sets to give you a little peek of what's included. First up is 6F. This is identical matching in a neat array of 3. Matching a sample in a neat array, field of 3. 6G is match identical pictures with a— in a messy field of 6. So we're gonna find the 2 matches as you see here, find the 2 matches. They're different sizes, great for working on generalization. 6M is match identical pictures in a messy array of 6. Next we're gonna go to 7B. 7B is identical matching in a messy array of 8. So we're building up that field size, finding the same. These would be great for independent work or work tasks or work boxes, as well as obviously instruction. Um, 7C is identical matching with different backgrounds in a messy array of 8. I love these. These are some of my favorite cards. 7M, match similar colors and shapes given a model. So this one is going to be a movable piece task card, so you will have to laminate, Velcro these, and cut them out. And then you'll sort by color. Here's sorting by color, and then you'll sort by shape. So these are really fun. The pieces get stored on the top and moved. Still fits in a nice small box. Awesome to work on this skill. 8M, identical matching in a messy array of 8 with 3 similar stimuli. So different than the last one, we have some, you know, close-in non-examples, things that are similar in size or shape. Next we have 9A, match different colored but otherwise identical objects in a messy array of 8. So different color but otherwise identical. So 2 different cookies that are the same, 2 different leaves that are the same, candles, but things that are the same. These are kind of tricky. I love these. 9B, we're gonna work on non-identical matching in a messy array of 8 with 2 similar stimuli. So find the 2 apples, find the 2 balls. Sometimes I really gotta look at these. These are, these are tricky. We're getting really more, a lot more complex here. 9M, non-identical matching in a messy array of 10. So again, even more complex than the last. Really, we have all the tools now to really scaffold and build this skill. 10B, match a picture of a body part to your own body part. So a set of body part pictures and students will have to find it on themselves. 10C, non-identical action matching with real photos. So kids that are doing the same thing, these are awesome. And then last, 10e. 10e is matching associated items. So what goes together? And these are really big sets of task cards. I haven't really gone through all of them, but look how many are included here. So you have lots of exemplars to work on. So this is visual perception and match to sample level 2.
