Sasha from theautismhelper.com shows a Visual Necklace for autistic children: about 30 laminated cards on a ring and lanyard they wear throughout the day. The cards prompt behavior (be quiet, clean up), offer compliments, and reinforce good choices. It's designed for kids who struggle with spoken instructions and need visual cues in hallways, cafeterias, and playgrounds.

Hi, this is Sasha from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview of Visual Necklace for children with autism. This is basically a set of small visuals that I wear around my neck throughout the day. This is so helpful because we're not in our classroom the whole day. We're in the hallway, in the cafeteria, outside at the playground, and I want to have my visuals available at all times. A lot of students with autism struggle with receptive language, so me telling them to sit down, they might not always understand that. They need that visual cue, and a lot of classrooms are really great at setting those up, but we're not in the classroom the whole time, like I said. So this is something I use absolutely every day. I have 30 different visuals included in here, and here's a list, which are included in the description on Teachers Pay Teachers. I laminate these all, hole punch them in the corner, and put them on a binder ring, and then put it on a lanyard. I've also seen some people use like an ID holder or something like that, or just keeping it in their pocket like in a binder clip. I like the necklace thing because then I don't have to think about it and I'm always wearing it. So you could just laminate these, cut them out, and put a hole punch in each corner. So I'm just going to go through briefly so you can see the different visuals that are included in this set. I have both receptive commands like "be quiet" and "clean up" and also compliments and reinforcing statements such as, you know, "I'm happy with you" or "nice hands" and "wait." So it's kind of a variety of different things, but there are a lot of behavioral ones in here because I think that's what we tend to use most. Um, and I would definitely recommend only using the ones that you need because it's a big set sometimes, and putting the ones that you use frequently on the top, um, because then you'll have quick access to them. And if there's anyone that isn't on here that you really need, please email me and I'd be happy to make it for you. I tried to make the main ones I could think of. Um, but yes, that is the product preview for Visual Necklace for Children with Autism from theautismhelper.com.
