Hi, this is Sasha from theautismhelper.com, and this is a product preview of the Social Story Packet for Children with Autism Friendship Packet. So this is a selection of 7 different social stories all focused on different problems and behaviors that might come up during situations with peers and other friends. So I'll just go through quickly the different social stories included in this set and why these can be useful and helpful for children with autism. So the first one is Being Jealous, which is an important skill on how to appropriately deal with jealousy, especially when you're dealing with your friends. Next up is "It's Okay Not to Win." So what happens when you don't win a game and how to appropriately act in that situation. Next is "Saying I'm Sorry." Next is "Sharing." So this kind of scripts some of the ways on how we can share and what we should be saying when we share. "When You Can Give a Hug." Since it's not appropriate to hug every single day, when it is appropriate to give a hug. Standing up for your friends, so what to do when someone else is being mean to your friend and how to stand up for them. And last, how to ask to play, so how to join a group that's already playing appropriately. These social stories have been really helpful with my students with autism because it scripts what to do in the situation. It's not deal— it's dealing with the situation before it happens. So we use these a lot in situations where I know this issue could arise, and it kind of is like a preventative method, and they can refer back to the scripts that we talked about, like So I can walk over and I can ask, "Can I play too?" So that response is ready for them. So yeah, that was— this is a social story packet for children with autism, Friendship Set.
