product preview of When Is It? Adapted Book for Children with Autism. So if you've seen some of my other adapted books, this is to focus in on one wh-question at a time. I think this is a really successful way of doing this because it really lets kids match the word "when" and that type of question with the answer. So they're really making that connection in their head by the repeated questions in the same format. Um, I love these types of books to work with kids with less verbal skills. I'm still making inferences, answering questions, and new vocabulary. The one question is particularly hard, so I knew I needed to make one for this. I have a video tutorial on how to set this up because it's a little different than some of the other ones. So here are the choice options for all of them. Each page is going to have 3 choices. So they're right here, the 3 choices for each page, and then each page will look like this. So you'll put the 3 response options in these ones, so you'll want to laminate or put in a dry— a page protector. And put hard Velcro in each box, and then you'll laminate these pictures, put soft Velcro on the back, and you'll store the 3 picture options up here, and then when you go through and read it, the child will get this right one. So you'll read, "I am in bed and wearing pajamas. When is it?" and he'll choose the nighttime picture, so like right here, and bring it down to the bottom and answer. So it's like a mini multiple choice. I really like this way of doing it. It stores really easily. You don't even need to deal with a baggie or anything, so that's really nice. So here are all the different questions. They focus on anything from days of the week, holidays, seasons, time of day, mealtime. So any kind of answer that you could have to a "what" question for a bunch of different types of question options right here. There's 12 different pages included, so 12 opportunities to work on the skill. You can even mix up the response options. I like this too because your kids aren't going to always remember that, you know, this answer always matches this one. You can mix them up on here, so that's really nice.
