April is Autism Acceptance Month, and this month I want you to add this book to your book reading list. This book is called Sincerely, Your Autistic Child: What People on the Autism Spectrum Wish Their Parents Knew About Growing Up, Acceptance, and Identity. It's a collection of short stories all written by autistic teens and adults that gives such valuable insight and lessons. This month and all year long, we want to turn to autistic adults to learn about what it means to be autistic and to have this different set of needs. This is a great book and a great book to recommend to parents, clinicians, teachers. And so whatever role you're in, read it and then recommend it. That can be the second step, right? And really take the lead this month to spread acceptance in a meaningful and important way.
