This is how you can set up an independent workstation. This is a Pre-K 3 classroom, but you could use this in any classroom and then change the symbols or whatever you need to do for your kiddos. The student will come sit down, and of course you have to teach this to them. Take off the heart, match it to the drawer. They pull out the first task and complete that. And of course, this is something that you've already done with them in small group and they've mastered it so so they would know what to do. They might need a little guidance at first. And then they get the next match. Match it. Pull out the next task. Complete it. And I forgot to show you, if they're first starting out, you can have them finish it by putting it in a basket. That way they know that's finished. And then they get the last task. Apple. Match it to apple. And then complete the last little matching shoebox task. Put that away. And then they're finished, and they can take their check schedule card and go to their schedule and see what's next.
