The Rocket Board Mini Work System is a visual token board that helps students track progress on tasks. Students start with all tokens removed, then replace them or watch them disappear as they complete work. You can adjust what each token represents daily, from coloring one mark to finishing a whole folder, based on what motivates the child.
I just wanted to show you a neat little visual that I'm using this year. Of course, it's just a regular token board. You can use any kind that's appropriate or motivating for your kiddo. So this kid, he actually— we take the pieces off first, and then as he completes a task, he helps us put the pieces on. And then when all the pieces are on, he knows the task is finished. For another student in another grade, we actually take the pieces off as they complete a task. So if they color even a few marks on the page, one comes off. If they do— if they're having a really good day, maybe a file folder is a whole piece. It just depends on what the kid is doing that day and what they really need support in.
