A walkthrough of the Open Center section in an online classroom for students using the STAR autism curriculum. Each student gets four columns of individualized resources: Boom Cards, PEAK ABA videos, social stories, motor activities from an occupational therapist, and speech therapy videos. Parents watch the videos, run the programs with their children, and report back.

So just like they got to the gross motor calendar within our online page, this is how they get to the Open Center, which is just below the gross motor section. All the students have their names at the top. And then there are 4 assignments which— within each column that are individualized based on what program they're working on in the alternate curriculum, some IEP goals that they're working on, and other activities and lessons that we need them to do. So within this, for example, we have different ideas. We have Boom Cards in here. There's videos in here. Some things that were in their specialty bags that were sent home would be in here. So if you click on the link, this brings them to the Boom Card that we want them to work on. I'll give you another example. This one is the PEAK ABA curriculum, which I have recorded and assigned. And so in each PEAK ABA video, I give a little explanation in the beginning of what I'm looking for, and then I ask the parents to play the video, run the program, and let me know how their students do. Um, let's see. These— a lot of these are the PK-VA ones. There's a social story that I wrote for one of my students. So I wanted them to read this. Just working on that. There is a gross motor activity here. There is a fine motor activity here that were given to me by my OT. The Expanding Language, there are some videos of me with my son. And then there were also some other teachers and great resources that I have found that are linked on here. And also my speech therapist has recorded some videos that she has linked in here. So there are a lot of different activities that we have. 1, 2, 3, 4 columns are student assigned. As I get more students, I'll add more. These are the alternate curriculum, which is our STAR program, Strategies for Teaching Based on Autism Research. These are the activities I want them to work on through play. And then these are more ideas for them to work on.
